Food Share receives generous gift eh 'editor Lucknow Sentinel, Wednesday, November 20, 1996 -- Page 5 Dnp McClinchey Lucknow "In a way, it might benefit everybody. 1 wouldn't want to move to with no doc- .,,to. Dear editor: Last month our trea- surer receive z i aUOn in excess or t`t frottg;. .the congregation of the Liitistiauo ed most generous`ftt and we thank Mr. Luchies and the members of his church for their concern. They have extended a helping hand at a time .when it was needed, 'as' our funds Were quite low. In addition to the food bank, we also issue vouchers' for special needs, such as .forrnula and supplies for infants. So their gift ;was espe- cially welcomed. 1 am reminded of a favorite homily: that of a stone thrown into a pond with the resulting effect of ever widening circles in the water. So it is with what we are doing for Community Food Share. We are experiencing this ever widening circle of friends and neighbors who wish to do what neighbors have always done, to help one another in difficult times. And doesn't that leave a warm glow? On behalf of the board I thank you who give to so many organizations and yet still find more, for our Community Food Share. Catherine E. Forsyth. "1 would like them here, but it doesn't seem right for the government to force them." Elmo Sawn Lew "They're trying to force everybody to do something. If the doctors like hunting and fishing it wouldn't be bad to be up north." limy Van ooh. Lucknow "I don't know about forcing them. There should be incentives offered. No one can work under force." Shirley Twolan Ripley "They shouldn't force, but maybe ask... We do need rural doctors and if asked they would proba- bly do it (move)."
