Jan Koster, 77, of Holland (front, second from

to the Canadian veterans on Remembrance
Day. The Canadian Army was largely respon-
sible for the liberation of Holland in 1945.
Koster, a Dutch resistance fighter, wanted to
personally thank his liberators.

cerned or curious, make
the call. Sometimes the
call will be answered by
someone who claims to
speak broken English.
This keeps you on the
line in order to build up
phone charges. Or, some-
times you just get a
recorded message.
People returning such
calls end up with surprise
phone bills, often times
more than $100 for the
809 call(s).
The newest twist is to
page people using the
809 numbers. People
unknowingly return these
pay -per -call calls and end
up with huge charges oil
their phone bills.
Police advice people
to beware.
