A good 'turnout witnessed
the official opening of the
Greenway Project - The
Lucknow Walk. Hundreds
of. Lucknow area people
spent 100's of hours over
the past 6 years turning an
idea into a long lasting valu-
able asset to our :village.
This• project is special
because all the local groups
worked together on a com-
mon, cause, where the labor •
exceeded the dollars spent.,
This was at a time when the
new, arena was being , built.
The Greenway, Project .is. a
living, growing thing, that
will become. even more
valuable as the new planti-
ngs of trees, shrubs and
wild flowers, mature and
spread to, protect more wild
life - birds; animals and fish.
Now the Lions new
Memorial' Tree Planting
guide ties the Greenway
Project to the new arena
project and provides a
beautification plan .for the
Caledonia Park for many
years to come. 'Al was the
representative of the' Lions
Club, who sponsored the
Greenway Project when it
was still in the very early
planning. stages. He would
be'plea'sed that the tree
planted in his memory is at
the arena where .he spent
pay
so manyhappy hours. We
would like to thank all. who
helped in anyway with the
planting, of this tree. Special
