Ontario is is tradi-

Today, census data is used in
planning community services
such as health care, education,
subsidized housing. But it, also
can be used as a market survey

this could resent a' problem as
May 14 falls" right in the middle

The. reason for . the change,
says Lovis, is 'Statistic Canada
hopes theearlier census taking
will .improve. coverage. A mid-
month census means people,
- who rent for example, won't be
in the midst of moving. It also
means -cottagers won't be at the questionnaire.
