concerning OMAMA sup-
port: of 4-H in Harron
County.
It was very disapppointin
not to have any OMMRA
staff at our recent 441 annu-
al meeting. In the past the
Rural Con rnunity Advisors
have worked welt with the
local 441 associations, but it
appears they now waft to

Christian women of Haiti
have prepared. the World
Day of Prayer service for
March 1, 1996. The local
service will be held 'at 7:30
p.m. at the Lucltnow
Presbyterian Church.
Haiti, the world's first
Black independent republic,
has in this century suffered
from military occupancy,
internal political repression,
natural disasters and wide-
spread poverty.
Nevertheless, the return of
democratically -elected
President Jean -Bertrand
Aristide in 1994.was cause
for hope among -the people.
World Day of Prayer is a
global, ecumenical move-
ment
ovement of "informed prayer
and prayerful action," On
the first Friday in March
each year, people in over
170 countries participate in
a common service in their
own locality. Services ate
translated into hundreds of
languages and dialects.
