association provides recycling
services to member
municipalities, including com-
posting and blue box recycling.
The recycling association has
established a• regional recycling
facility which will allow for the
proper separation and shipment
of blue box materials.
Financial assistance has been
received from the Ontario
Ministry of the Environment and
OMMRI for the establishment of
the regional recycling program.
The MOB provides one-third of
the funds for capitalcosts of the
program and funds a portion -of
the - operating costs for the
progiam over thefirst five years.

boxesand now it's our turnto

people across Ontario who are
helping ' reduce waste ` through
recycling,
• Last week, Lucknow village
councillors George Gibson and
George Anderson, were assisted .'
by the Lucknow Scouts and
other individuals iri delivering
over 500 blue boxes to area
homes.lf you didn't receive a
blue box, callthe town hall and
they will Grange for you to
receive one.
Apartment buildings will not
be included at first, as blue
boxes often do not work well in
such locations. The recycling
association is working to
introduce recycling to all
residences as soon as' possible.
The association also hopesto
introduce the -service to in-
dustrial, • commercial and
institutional outlets in 1991. But
remember you can take
recyclable cans, bottles, jars and
newspapers home for recycling
through your blue box.

Recycling Association, a .none-
profit corporation established by
several area municipalities, The
