For Betty and Barry Jones of
R. 3, Goderich, the desire to
become a Vacation Farm became
reality whenthey acquired
Waysher Farm in . Ashfield
township, six years ago,
A friend in Wales, who had
been doing bed and breakfast for
years, once suggested to Betty
that she should get into the
business, While the interest was
there, their former home on a
da�r faun near London, did not
bond itself, space wise, tri
opening their home to guests.
The spacious brick blouse
located on their present veal calf
and cash crop farm, allows them
to have three lovely guest rooms.
Open year round, the Jones'
have now been 'offering bed and
breakfast and faun vacations for
five years. Betty speaks wits
great enthusiasm about her farm
vacation business, which affords
her the opportunity of being at
honie emPing an income With;
the added tonus of making good
friends with their guests.
Betty says a far n vacation is a
unique experience, with " host
farmers all having something
different to offer their
Waysher Farm offers a fxible
schedule to itsvisitors, en-
couraging them to take.Pet with
the chores if they so wish. They
milk several cows then feed the
whole milk to the little calves. A
few chickens are raised for their
own, use. Guests are weber to
ride their horse Candy, relax in,
the garden and simply enjoy the
wild birds. along with the quiet,
fresh country atmosphere.
Betty serves home cooked
meals using her own, or locally
grown, fresh. produce,
• Betty says a "vacation with
them is a most 'relaxing,, non -
hectic and enjoyable experience...
That fact is evidenced ' by. the
repeat visits ° of ` families to
Waysher Farm. Barry 'and Betty
have one little girl, who, along
with her mom, has `vacationed
with. them. repeatedly. The 10 -
year -old has come to look upon
Waysher Farm as another home
and becomes quite upset. when it
is time to leave. She has become
a good friend of the family dog;:
sending treats during the year,
between her visits.

although she did saythe seven
little kittens and four biggefr cats
were her favourites.
. For Dean, the vacation was

although during., their first five
days at the vacation fann they
had managedto take in St.
Jacobs, Elmira, Elora, Kincar-
dine and Inverhuron, with Dean
making a quick one -day business
trip to Philadelphia.
