The Christian} Reformed Church in
Lucknow was the setting for the winter
wedding of Tracy Elaine Steer, daughter.
of Peter and Elaine Steer of Lucknow,
and Jack Gerard .Meurs, the sots of Gerry
and Sylvia Meurs, also of Lucknow, on:
February 24, 1990, The' ceremony was of-
ficiated. by Pastor Dwayne Thielke.
The Maid of Honour was Joan Klkkert_
of Whitechurch, friend of the bride, while
the duties of best man were handled by
Will VanNiejenh'uis of Dungannon, a
friend of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Nathalie Meurs of
Goderich, sister of the groom, and
Heather Steer of Lucknow, sister of the
bride. Ushers were Byrne Burgsma of
Dungannon and Andrew teRaa of
Begrave, friends of the groom. Kevin
Snieder, nephew of the groom from Clin-:
ton, acted as ring bearer.
A reception followed the ceremony at
the Lucknow Community Centre. Follow-
ing a honeymoon in -Jamaica, the couple
is_ now residing near Ripley.

FARES F. EDMONDSON
Fares F. Edmondson, formerly of
Chatham, passed away at the Public
General Hospital on Thursday. May 3,
1990. Born in Chatham 85 years ago, son
of the late Thomas Edmondson and the
former Matilda Simpson. He was the
former owner of Edmondson Automotive
Electric having retired in 1960. He was a
member of the Masonic Lodge No. 267,
served in the Second World war with the
RCAF, was the inventor of the landing
gear warning device of the Anson
Bombers.
Fares was one of the first holders of a
ham radio licence in the Chatham area.
His wife, the former Evelyn Aldis,
predeceased in 1958. He ,is survived by
two sons John P. Edomndson of Erieau,
Thomas F. of Alymer; six . duaghters
Mrs. Carl (Frances) Riegling of
Kingsbridge, Mrs. Bruce (Laura) Pad -
bury of Ottawa, Mrs. Bev (Barbara)
Simpson of Ridgetown, Mrs. Wm.
(Marie) VanCaille of Howard Twonship,
Mrs. Paul (Esther) Giroux of McKays
Corners, Mrs. Andre (Victoria) Oulette of.
Langhey, B.C..
Also suryiving are 37 grand childrten
and 52 great grand children. • Predeceas-
ed by a daughter, two grand children and
one great grand child."
Funeral services were held on Monday,
May 7 in Chatham with interment in
Maple Leaf Cemetery.
