We have learned all the vowel sounds
by now, and have fun sounding bard
words in Mrs. Bell's games. We have
drawn beautiful Spring birds, and will
start an "Owl" unit n week. • We were
all excited about taking 'part is Bart
Week, and planting a tree.

Our class is very excited about Grand
parent's Day whieh will be taking Place
on May 4th. It will be our pleasure to
host such special people as our
Grandparents.
Earth Week made us aware of how im-
portant our world is to us. We hope we
will be good to nature all year long.

Week :activities. The try put on by the
Nature Club was really good and our
speaker from the Natural Its told
us many things about trees, Souris of the
students in our class took home a tree to
plant in their yard.
In Langusge Arts , we ere about hal f-
way through our Spring .Activities and
wrote "Mud" Poems one day. We have
been talking: about marry famous Cana-
dian men and women in. Environmental
Studies.

Dawn Bushell, a grade eight student at Lueknow Central' Public School, was one of •
the many students who participated in "Job 'Shadowing 1990" last Friday. Participa-
tion by students was strictly volunteer, with the a of their parents and a local
business. Dawn enjoys working with people' and and Imowmg Doreen and Vicky
of DeeVee's Fashions sbions approached them to be her "partner". Next year Dawn will enter
Walkerton Secondary School, taming advanced english, math, history, french, science
.and marl along with gym and and hall credit course in typing. Looking to the future •
