Society
holds arinual
The annual meeting of :the Dungannon
Agricultural Society was held in the form
of a potluck supper on. January 23.
Entertainment was provided, by George
'Smyth, who showed a video taken at the
1989 Dungannon Fair and Family Fun
Day.
President Wayne Tucker stated that the
Agricultural SoctetY had a good year in
1989 and that it is hoped to upgrade the
hall and the ball diamonds in the upcom-
ing Year. An open discussion was held on
both of these improvements. to get new
thoughts and ideas from the community.
Glen McNeil took charge of the election
of the directors, The directors for 1990 in-
elude Jack Caesar, Brian Darn, Duane
Rivett, Rob Robson, Carol Nivins, Bob
Wright, John Fielder, Dawn Tucker, San-
dra Rivett, Wayne Tucker, Hendee Glenn
and Marj Pentland. President is Wayne
Tucker with . Karen Matheson as
secretary treasurer.
The next meeting of the directors is
planned for February 27.

MERIAM - Mark, Arron and Carrie are
just thrilled to announce the safe arrival
of their baby sister, Rosalyn Patricia, on
February 11, 1990. She weighed in at 8
lbs. 15 oz. Proud parents are Ken
Meriam and Donna. Scott.
Samantha George and Greg Moffat of R.
4 Wingham announce with pleasure the
birth of their daughter, Darlene Ashley,
on February 12, 1990 in Wingham and
District Hospital, weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz.

Bylaw No. 5-1990, being a Transient Traders
Bylaw was passed by Council on 13 February
90.
This Bylaw stipulates that a transient trader
includes any person commencing business
who has not resided continuously in the
municipality for at least three months next
preceding the time of commencing business,
and is required to pay a license fee of $30000
per year.
Anyone carrying on a business with a license
is guilty of an offence and is liable to a fine
equal to the Sienese fee that he should have
paid plus a sum of $1000 minimum or $200.°°
maximum.
Every applicant for a license shall furnish a
statement in his application containing a full
description of the goods that he proposes to
sell under such license.
