Fair grants explained
Just before noon last Thursday Nov. 26
Leonard Patterson of Harriston phoned
C.K.N.X. radio station with information
which they wanted about fall fair grants. It
was in answer to a question about cancelling
or reducing these in 1988.
Leonard took time to explain the proposed
new setup and by the time he finished it did
not look as bad as rumored. Leonard just a
few years ago was the district director for
District 10. It covers the 27 fairs in Bruce
and Grey counties. More recently he was the
president of the Ontario Association.
Leonard and his wife Ida are known here
and well liked.
In his talk with the C.K.N.X. radio inter-
viewer, Leonard said that he had to finish
delivering his mail route before he could get
around to answering his request for
information.
