Glen Kemp of RR 2, Goderich died sud-
denly on Wednesday, October 21, 1987, as a
result of an automobile accident near
Meaford.
Glen was employed at Sky harbour
Refinishing Ltd., as a refinisher of aircraft
for the past seven years.
Glen was a founding member of the
Lanesville Lords Slow -pitch team and also
a member of the Port Albert Bulldogs
ballteam.
An avid fisherman as well, you could
usually find Glen beside his favourite
fishing spot on the days he thought the
weather conditions were just right, trying
to catch that elusive "big one".
Glen, the son of Bernice (Livingston)
Kemp and Gordon Kemp of RR 2,
Goderich, was born in Marietta, Georgia,
USA on March 25, 1962.
Glen attended LaBelle Public School,
Georgia; Grand Valley and District Public
School, Brookside Public School, Ashfield
Township and F.E. Madill Secondary
School, Wingham.
Besides his parents, Glen (known as
Bunny to his family and friends) is surviv-
ed by his brother Gordon and wife Brenda
of Ashfield Township and his sister Gail at
home.
He is also survived by his grandmother,
Mrs. Martha Livingston of Brampton;
family friend Miss Dorothy Beamish of
Brampton; uncles and aunts, Harvey and
Pat Livingston of Ashfield Township,
Harold and Elsa Livingston of
Orangeville, Cliff and Joan Livingston of
Lucknow, Bill and Marion Livingston of
Ottawa and 19 cousins.
He was predeceased by his grand-
parents Norman Livingston of Brampton,
Louise Pierce,British Columbia and Gor-
don Kemp, Toronto.
Glen rested at the McCallum and Palla
Funeral Home, Goderich from where the
funeral service was conducted by Rev.
Bruce Tombs of Victoria Street United, on
Saturday, October 24.
Glen's brother Gordon spoke about Bun -
my as a loving son and brother and fellow
ballplayer, with John Edward of Skyhar-
bour Refinishing Ltd., telling of Glen's
dedication to his job and his love for
fishing.
Larry MacPherson of Lucknow sang The
Lord's Prayer.
Flower bearers were a friend Troy Rit-
chie, Lucknow; cousin, erena Liv-
ingston, Orangeville and Tr, cy and Lea
Anne Livingston of Luckno
Pallbearers were his brothe Gordon;
his uncle Harvey; his cousins Leslie Liv-
ingston, Lucknow, Kirk Livingston,
Ashfield Township; friends, Shawn Dren-
nan, ;,Ashfield Township and Mike . Hum-
phrey, Lucknow. IP
Burial was in Maitland Cemetery,
Goderich.

Evelyn Elaine Irvin
Evelyn Elaine Irwin of RR3 Lucknow
passed away at the Wingham and District
Hospital on Thursday, October 15, 1987.
She was 45 years of age.
Evelyn Elaine Irwin was born May 23,
1942 in Kincardine to parents Leonard Ir-
win and Annie Ferguson. She was an ac-
tive member of the Lucknow United
Church and a member of the local UCW.
Evelyn taught public school in Galt and
Ripley and acted as superintendant of the
United Church Sunday School. She was in-
fluencial in the formation of the Women's
Auxiliary and lead the senior choir of the
church for several years.
Evelyn Elaine Irwin is survived by- her
mother, Annie Ferguson, her husband,
Bob Irwin, and three children, Kenneth,
Chris and Craig, all of whom live at home.
She is also survived by brothers and
sisters Ronald and Larry Irwin of Ripley,
Ernie Irwin of Burlington, Ken Irwin of
Waterdown, Dennis Irwin of Dartnouth,
N.S., and Carol Halliday of Owen Sound.
She is predeceased by her father,
Leonard Irwin and an infant son, Michael.
Funeral services for Evelyn Elaine Ir-
win were held at the Lucknow United
Church on Sunday, October 18 with Rev. G.
McFarlane officiating. Flower bearers in-
cluded Gloria Murray, Betty McDonagh,
Phyliss Baker and Femmie VanDervelde.
Pallbearers were Murray Henderson,
Ross Henderson, Russ Ritchie, Lloyd Col-
lins, Jim Gibson and Don Reid.
Hilda Geraldine Ackert
Mrs. Hilda Geraldine Ackert passed
away at her residence in Port Elgin on Oc-
tober 15, 1987. She was in her 70th year.
Mrs. Ackert, formerly of Holyrood, was
born in Huron County on July 25, 1917 to
John Henry Reid and wife Jane Emily
Farrell and worked as a homemaker. She
was married to Raynard Ackert at Reid's
Corners on July 20, 1940 and was a
graduate of the Stratford Normal School.
Mrs. Ackert was a devoted member of
the Port Elgin United Church and was a
life member of the Holyrood Women's In-
stitute. She also was an active U.C.W. and
choir member.
Hilda Geraldine Ackert is survived by
her husband; son Ernest and his wife Bon-
nie of Port Elgin and daughter June and
her husband Rob Shouldice of Shallow
like. She is also survived by a brother,
Leonard Reid of Point Clark and six grand-
children, Jeff, Becky and Mary Ackert and
Steve, Mark and Brad Shouldice: She is
predeceased by a brother, Norris, former-
ly of Huron Township.
Funeral services for Hilda Geraldine
Ackert, officiated by Rev. Gordon
Williams, were held October 17 at the Port
Elgin United Church. Pallbearers included
Clarence Ackert, John Ackert, Lloyd
Graham, Jack Campbell, Lynn Reid and
Brian Reid with interment in the Sanc-
tuary Park Cemetery.
