Five Kinlough ladies attend
Presbyterial in Brussels
Symapthy is extended to Mrs. McKinney
and family in the death of Reverend T.J.
McKinney at Port Hope. The funeral was
at the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church and
the burial at Port Hope. The late Rev.
McKinney was minister here at the
Kinlough Presbyterian Church for several
years. Soem from here attended the
funeral.
Mrs. Don Robertson, Mrs. Don Bushell,
Mrs. Glen Haldenby, Mrs. Frank Maulden
and Mrs. Bert Thompson attended the
Presbyterial at Brussels on Monday
afternoon.
Sympathy is expressed to the family of
mrs. Evelyn (Pinnell) Hodgins who passed
away on Tuesday at the Kincardine
Hospital. The funeral was on Friday and
the burial in Kincardine. Evelyn grew up
in our village.
Mrs. Bruce Bushell and baby Whitney
returned home from the Wingham and
District Hospital recently.
Mrs. Glen Morningstar, Lindsay and An-
drew of Port Elgin, Mrs. Brian Thompson,
Brett and Allyson of Kincardine Township
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Don Bushell.
Pastor and Mrs. M. Christensen were in
Milton on Tuesday where they attended
the funeral of a friend there.
Mrs. William E. Haldenby is a patient in
the Wingham and District Hospital suffer-
ing from a fractured arm as a result of a
fall at her home.
ACW Meeting
The Anglican Church Women met on
Thursday 'afternoon at the home of Mrs.
Ronald Thacker with a good attendance.
President Mrs. Roy Collins opened the
meeting with two readings. The rollcall
was "my favorite Bible story" which drew
good responses.
Mrs. Ronald Thacker read the minutes
of the April meeting and also read a thank -
you note for an Easter Cheerio box. The
South Saugeen Spring Deanery Meeting
will be held in Fordwich on Tuesday, June
2. There will be a pot -luck supper at the
Rectory in Lucknow on Saturday, May 30
provided by the ladies of St. Peter's
Church. Plans were made for a fifth Sun-
day luncheon at Kinlough on Sunday, May
31 at 11 a.m. when Outreach officers from
the Church Army will be present.
Mrs. Eric Thacker was the program con-
venor and began the program with
prayers. She spoke on the Eucharist which
the young people are now studying and all
repeated the Apostle's Creed. The scrip-
ture lesson was from St. John and was
followed by an interesting Bible quiz. Miss
May Boyle led in the singing of the books of
the New Testament. All joined in singing
from the song books and Mrs. Harvey
Cooper and Rev. Merelyn Letson favored
with two duets.
Mrs. Roy Collins gave the courtesy
remarks. Grace was sung and a delicious
lunch was served by the hostess assisted
by Mrs. Eric Thacker.
