On Saturday, January 31 Lucknow Pee
Wee B's played Ripley on home ice.
Ripley's Ken Neable kept the puck in
motion as, he either scored or assisted on
all but one goal.
Ripley's Scott Vandenhogen scored from
Ken Neable and, Lucknow's Chris Hum-
phrey scored from Stanley Kikkert and
Roy Snow.
Ripley's Mike Arenburg scored from
Ken Neable, to end the first period 2 - 1 for
Ripley. „
Neable scored from Trevor Henderson
followed by his teammate Arenburg from
Neable and Vandenhogen.
Lucknow went to the dressing room
down three goals and came out to open up
the scoring in the third period by Lyndon
Johnston on a pass from Travis Brown.
Ripley scored again with Vandenhogen
from Arenburg and Jamie Richardson and
Neable from Vandehogen and Richardson.
Lucknow dented the net from Matthew
sproul assisted by Allan Kikkert, but
Ripley wasn't finished yet. Yes - Ken
Neable scored again from-Arenburg.
Final score Ripley 7 - Lucknow 3.
Only two penalties were handed out; one
to each team.
Both goalies were kept busy throughout
the game.
Next game sees Lucknow travelling to
Listowel on Saturday at 1 p.m. Keep up the

Lucknow 3 - Wallace 3
Lucknow travelled to Wallace on
January 22, with the local squad playing a
good game throughout, which was
reflected by the tie score.

Fenn's shot from Jeff Mathers. Chris
Stevenson replied for Lucknow on a pass
from Dennis Johnston. A pass from Chris
Humphrey to Matthew Sproul put
Lucknow ahead by one as the first period
ended.
Wallace came out in the second to score
the only goal of the period on a shot by
Gary Bosch from Fenn and Robbie Zehr,
to tie the score at 2 2.
Both teams scored in the third period.
Wallace's Bosch from Trevor Machan and
Lucknow's Stanley Kikkert unassisted.
It was,,a good strong game by the local
team with goalie Allan Kikkert making
several good saves to keep his team in the
game.,
Wallace- received the majority of
penalties totalling 18 minutes with
Lucknow receiving 12 minutes.

Lucknow 1- Listowel 1
On Saturday, February 7, Lucknow
travelled to Listwel eager to continue play-
ing their improved game style.
The first period was scorelss and one
penalty was handed out to Listowel for
slashing.
Stanley Kikkert scored on a pass from
Chris Humphrey. This put Lucknow ahead,
1- 0. Lucknow played a good game both of-
fensively and defensively up to this point.
Late in the second period, Stanley Kik-
kert was carrying the puck toward

A Helping Hated
for Grain Farmers
The Special Canadian Grains
Program is assisting farmers
with $1',billion. This initiative,
announced by Prime Minister
Brian Mulroney, is the largest of
its kind ever undertaken by„any
Canadian government on behalf
of farmers.
It is a national. program that
responds to a national need. It
will help offset low grain and
oilseed prices resulting from
the subsidy war between the
European Community and the
United States.
The first $300 million will be in
the hands of grain and oilseed
farmers this winter. Another
$700 million,will be paid out in
the spring.
The details of this historic
program are as follows:
1You will benefit if, in 1986,
■ you grew wheat, barley,
oats, rye, mixed grains, corn,
soybeans, canola, sunflower
seeds fir crushing or flax.
Pedigreed seed, high moisture
corn, .high moisture barley and
farm fed grain are also covered.
2The first cheques are
. being mailed directly to
Western farmers based on
Canadian Wheat Board permit
book data.
3 If your crops are not
■ included in permit book
data, or if you are a qualifying
producer who doesn't receive a
cheque, you can pick up an
application at the following
places:
• Offices of Members of
Parliament
• Grain elevators;
• Grain producer organizations
• Agriculture Canada offices and
research stations
• Farm Credit Corporation
