Mrs. Christensen (Si .) and Mrs. Vivian
Parkinson of London visited with pastor
and Mrs. M. Christensen on Saturday.
Mrs. Arthur Philips, who spent the past
two weeks with her sister Mrs. Frank
Maulden, returned home with Arthur to
Fonthill on Sunday.
Mr. Murray Gaunt of Wingham con-
ducted the service at the Presbyterian
Church here on Sunday followed by a time
by May Boyle
of food and fellowship.
The Pentecostal Congregation held their
annual church meeting last Wednesday
evening.
The Anglican Service on Sunday
February 1 was held at 4 p.m. followed by
a congregational supper and annual
Vestry meeting. Rev. Merelyn Letson was
in charge of all.
We are sorry that Jim Haldenby had to
undergo surgery in St. Joseph's Hospital in
London. We send our get -well wishes, Jim.
Mrs. Bertha Haldenby is not as well as
her many friends would like to see her.

The regular monthly meeting of the
Lucknow Junior Women's Institute was
held on Tuesday,. January 13, in the
Lucknow Town Hall. In the absence of the
president and vice-president, Nancy Ait-
chison presided.
The highlights from the minutes of the
Provincial Fall Conference were read by
Anne Inglis. Ruth Ritchie reported that so
far approximately 150 copies of A Little Bit
More of Everything, Vol. III, have been
sold. It was decided to order 25 additional
copies.
There has been a change in plans for the
April meeting. Members were asked to

meeting, Lorraine Brophy will be coming
to speak about parenting and the special
situation of adopted children. An ad will be
placed in the Sentinel to invite the public to
attend.
The meeting was then turned over to
Cecilia Miltenburg who demonstrated the
craft of making padded picture frames. It
requires no sewing and uses only fabric,
cardboard, quilt batt, glue .and optional
lace trim and ribbon. Every member
made a picture frame to take home.
The meeting was adjourned after lunch.
