DeJong lifts Midgets past Ripley
The Lucknow Midgets,took on Ripley at
home last Monday. It was an exciting, fast -
paced game with Lucknow taking a hard-
fought 4-3 victory.

There was only one goal scored in the
first period, that being scored by Scott
Hackett, assisted by` Dave MacDougall
and Kevin DeJong.
Lucknow scored two more goals in the
second period with Kirk Livingston scor-
ing the first goal, unassisted. Scott Hackett
also scored in the second, assisted by
Kevin DeJong and Jeff Buresma.
Ripley came back with three goals to tie
the game. But, near the end of the third
period, Kevin DeJong scored the final goal
of the game to put Lucknow ahead to stay
by a score of 4-3. Kevin's goal was assisted
by Scott Hackett and Jeff Burgsma.
Tlie Midgets played a good game and
Lucknow's goalie Brian Reavie played a
terrific game. -
Atom A's splitgames last week
Last Tuesday night, the Lucknow Atom
"A's" played in Ripley and won a hard-
fought game against Ripley by a score of
3-1.

Lucknow started the scoring with a goal
in the first period by Clint Murray assisted
by Robin Paolin. Chad Hiller came back
with the second Lucknow goal in the se-
cond period unassisted. Lucknow's third

ray and assisted by Matt Drennan in the
third period.
Ripley slipped one by the goalie late in
the third period for the final score of 3-1 for
Lucknow.

The Atoms travelled to Brussels last Fri-
day evening. After drawing four penalties,
Lucknow found they couldn't defeat
Brussels short-handed. The Lucknow goals
were scored by Steve Porter and Chad
Hiller.
