Christmas a time for visiting in Ripley
Dave and Grace Murray of Ripley went to
Tara to spend Christmas Day with her sister
Edna ind f husband Bill Reid. On the after-
noon of Boxing Day, Grace drove home and
later in the day they learned about the pro-
pane gas fire at the home of neighbours
Lorne and Linda Emmerton nearby on
Queen Street.
On the afternoon of Dec. 24 Dave ana
Diane Robinson and sons Shane and Nathan
of Durham St. Kincardine visited Ab Wylds.
Evelyn Johnson, Glen Harris, Carol Flud-
der, Tammy . and Jason Fludder of Ripley
drove to Port Elgin to have Christmas din-
ner at the home of Marion Lawrie.on Dec.
25.
On Christmas Day the Barnard family
dinner was held at the home of daughter
Shirley and Mike Burnham in Kincardine.
At it were Norman and Mabel Barnard of
Ripley; Ann and Dale Rock, daughters
Ellen and Katie of Kincardine; Dawn and
son Cole Carruthers, of Owen Sound; Don
Barnard, Shannon- Burnham and Warren
Zitter of Toronto; Joe and Heather Bur-
nham of Oshawa. This totals 15 members of
the family.
F>rther folks will remember Shirley and
Don Barnard as the family of Norm and
Mabel. Both attended school here finishing
Grade 13 in the Ripley District High School.
Shirley went on to the teacher training and
Don to office work. Then Mike and Shirley's
family, who all grew up in Kincardine are
Dawn, Ann, Shannon, and Joe Burnham.

ney on Victoria Street in Port Elgin.

Visiting on Christmas Day with Leslie and
Dorothy Wardell and Henry Wardell at their
home on the Fourth Concession west in
Huron township were the following: Mike
and Lois Kelly, daughters Christen and
Kathleen of Tiverton; Mike and Mildred
Ashton, Michael Jr., Carrie and Christopher
of Alliston; Lori Wardell and Floyd GliiVer,
Tina and Vincent Wardell of Cambridge; Ed
and Barbara Smith of Bright.
A second visitation day at the Wardell
home on the fourth concession was Saturday,
Dec. 27-86 when daughter Judy, husband
and family - namely Tom and Judy Howie,
Tammy and -Melissa of Kitchener - and
daughter Faith from the Teacher's College
at Queens University in Kingston, were here
for a Christmas visit.
