me mowing down french fries,
gravy and melted cheese. Dieting
is a lonely road to follow.
This special diet was a learning
experience for me. With my car-
bohydrates limited, I took to
reading every label on all foods I
purchased. Rather than being in
the grocery store. for 15 minutes, it
took me a half hour to pick up the
weekly supplies.
I also found it to be a little more
costly due to the amount of fruits
and vegetables I consumed. "
After depositing another vial of
blood at the doctor's office, I was
declared normal - or at least my
triglyceride level was declared
normal. Time to celebrate right?
Wrong! The man in white in-
formed me that although my level
was where it should be, I should
still continue to monitor the
amount of carbohydrates I digest.
I must call my mother and see if
this body came with a guarantee. I
mean, really it has only been on
this earth for 15,695 days!
