(sec Novi a report for scoring) The second game Brussels hung on to defeat Mildmay 4 - 3. Brus- sels led this one 4 - 0, but Mildmay scored three in the third to make it close. Trevor Wilson led Brussels with the goals 'and one assist while Curtis Schmalz had one goal and one assist for Mildmay. The next game had Howick facing Chesley with Howick win- ning 6 - 4. This game had an ex- -citing x- -citi ig f1aistr wii `i 'three goals scored int he final two minutes of the game. Chesley's Nathan Fullerton had three goals in this game with Howick's Greg Hutchinson scoring three and one assist. Final game of the first round saw Stephen Township downing Wal- lace by a score of 9 - 1. Stephen built a first period 5 - 0 lead and coasted to the win from there. Scotrrg hero for Stephen was Shawn Stuckless with three goals. Second Round Second round action saw the losers playing for the consolation trophyand winners advancing to the championship round. Mildmay defeated Teeswater 7 - 0, which sent them to the consolation final. Mildmay's Curtis Schmalz scored five goals with Shawn Detzler adding a goal and three assists. Hometown Lucknow then hit the ice again and completely overwhelmed Brussels by an 8 - 1 score. (see Novice report for full details) This win sent Lucknow on to the championship final. The third game of the second round Chesley met with Wallace. An exciting see -saw game found Wallace come from behind for a 6 - 5 win. Scoring leaders were Wal - lace's Jeremey Long with four and Chesley's- Nathan Fullerton and Mike Barfoot with one goal and two assists. .ramal $4111e of this round found the powerhouse Stephen Township racking up an easy 12 - 2 win over How ck. Leading Stephen's win re Jeff Finkbeiner with five goals and three assists; Shawn Stuckl• three goals, three assists and Ed- wards with four goals. . Consolation Wallace and Mildmay battled it out for the consolation trophy. An exciting game was played with Mildmay taking a 4 - 2 lead into the third only to see Wallace come back to lead. However, Mildmay tied it up with four minutes left. • ' Both teams played exciting hock- ey trying to wm it before overtime, but the goalies store the -stow: - Into overtime the teams went with Wallace's Danny Williams scoring the winner with only one minute left on the clock, to make Wallace consolation champs with a 6 - 5 win. The crowd was not disappointed as this game was very well played with exciting actions all game long.
