Atom B's meet tough
Kincardine team
After a Christmas break, the
Lucknow Atom B's saw action
.Saturday on home ice, with the
visiting Kincardine # 2 team. Kin-
cardine came on strong and scored
just 37 seconds into ' the game.
Three more goals made it 4 - 0
• after the first period.
Part way through the second
perkid, Gabrielle Clarence cleared
the Kincardine defence for a
breakaway. On closing in, she was
improperly checked giving way to a
penalty . shot. Gabrielle made good
on the opportunity and put. Luck -
now on the scoreboard.
Although Kincardine scored seven
more, times, Lucknow made them
work hard. They played very defen-
sively and were robbed several
times trying to penetrate the Kincar-
dine defence.
Though,the final, score was Kin-
cardine 11 Lucknow 1, the team
was up against a very disciplined
opponent.
Let's work hard at penalties this
week and see what next week
brings.

On December 21, the Lucknow
Atom A's continued their homes -
tend _ but were certainly not in the
giving mood as the holiday season
might suggest. The boys hit the ice
determined to avenge and earlier
loss to the Mildmay squad.
Lucknow took it to. Mildmay right
off the opening face-off only to be
turned back by Mildmay's goalie
every time they had a scoring
chance. Lucknow finally scored
halfway through the first when Ean
Moffat potted a Greg Courtney
rebound.
Mildmay soon replied with a goal
of their own, but it was all Luck-

goals came from Shane Petteplace
with two and Chad Freeman. As-
sists went to Craig Moffat (two),
Ryan Hackett and Jonathan MacK-
innon.
Third period scoring was Chad
Freeman, from Bari Moffat and
Brent Carneron, making the final
score 5 - 1 for Lucknow.
Lucknow's goalie Jay Humphrey
again played a _strong game, par-
