Brookside students review bus safety

procedures from a bus with
the students.
Mr. Damien Sullivan,
French Co-ordinator, who
visited the French classes
and discussed the programs
with the teacher of French,
Miss Joanne Bode.
On October 29, the Stud-
ent's Council held a Hallowe-
'en dressup dance at noonfor
grades 5 - 8. Kevin Haggitt
was chosen King and Heidi
Fillmore was Queen.
Kindergarten to grade 4
had a dressup parade later in
the afternoon. The Prince
chosen for best costume was
Stuart Bakker and Princess
was Melissa McLennan.
Consolation prizes went to
Mrs. Jolly and the Myster-
ious Herb.
Winner of the draw for a
Witch Cookie was Chris Far-
rish, room 9..
Mr. Liddle's grade 6 class
took a field\ trip on Thursday
when they visited the Tree
Seed Plant at Angus, the
Military Museum at Camp
Borden and the Midhurst
Tree Nursery where their
tour guide was Mel Crich,
formerly of Clinton.
Jim Boak accompanied
Mr. Liddle and the class
The students were park-
ularly interested to see what
happens to the cones they
have been gathering this fall
to send to the Tree Nursery.
They collected about 6 hecta-
litres, the proceeds of which
will help finance a camp out
next spring.
On October 22 and 23 Mrs.
Graham attended an Art
Workshop in Sudbury where
she heard interesting speak-
ers and gained some fresh
ideas for Art classes.
Trick or treaters out in Kinlough

nice for the Hallowe'en trick
or treat young folks and ones
\\ not so young, to make their
annual visit to the village
• homes.. We hope everyone
had fun and a good evening.

Pastor and Mrs. Christian-
son moved into the village on
Saturday and had a busy
forenoon. He will continue
his ministerial duties at the
Pentecostal Church. We
hope they like living here.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Page
returned from visiting in
Toronto with Dr. and M.
limn Mohamed and family.
Joan had a medical appoint-
ment and got a good report.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Guest
were to London two days
during the week as Mary had
a medical check up at Univer-
sity Hospital. Fred was
pleased to have a visit with
Chris Shelton who was wait-
ing for Connie from her ap-
pointment at University Hos-
pital.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Green of
St. Helens were dinner
guests on Friday with Edna
and .May Boyle.
Marretta Hodgins and
Phoebe Stanley visited in
Ripley with Mrs. Don Mc -
Cosh, Gladys Mason and
Hazel Stanley on Thursday.
On Sunday at the Anglican
Parish service, Alicia Jane,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Eric Thacker, was baptized
by Rev. Phillip Ruch. ° A fel-
lowship luncheon followed
the service.
Mrs. Audrey Borthwick .of
St. Catharines spent a few
days with Mr. and Mrs. Jack
• Hodgins, Agnes• Hodgins
and other relatives here.

the Perth District Health
Unit, 653 West Gore Street,
Stratford. These classes,
sponsored by the HURON
PERTH LUNG ASSOCIA-
TION are for children ages 4
to 12 who have asthma or
other respiratory problems.
