Express sympathy to bereaved

Walter Moore and family in
the passing of her mother,
Mrs. Gertrude Moore on
Wednesday at .Kincardine
Hospital. The funeral was
held on Saturday at Tees-
water.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill McInnes
of Culross were Wednesday
evening visitors with`°°°Mr. and
Mrs. Victor Emerson. -
Mr. and Mrs. Hank Van
Galon of Kitchener visited on
Wednesday with Mr. 'and'
Mrs. Uuldriks. These, famil-
ies came from Holland about
the same time.
On Saturday Mrs. Charlie
Moore of Cobalt and Mrs.
.lack Cartledge, Amanda and
Shawn of Sudbury called on
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emer-
son. '.
Sunday callers on Mr. and
Mrs. Vic Emerson were, Mr.
and ' `Mrs. Mex Verbeek,
Michelle and Julie of Clin-
ton.
This community extends
their sympathy to Mrs. Clif-
f6rd Young and family in the
passing of Clifford Young, in
Wingham Hospital on Thurs-
day in his 78th year. The
funeral was held in Teeswat-
er on Saturday at 11.30 a.m.
with burial in Lang ide Cem-
etery.
This community extends
their ' sympathy to Mr. and
Mrs, Orland Irwin and family
in the passing of Mr. Harold
Finlay in' his 58th year on
Friday in Wingham Hospital.
He was the husband of
Dorene Irwin, sister of Or-
land Irwin. His funeral was
held on Monday from the
Gorrie Funeral Chapel of the
M. L. Watts Funeral Home.
On Wednesday a crew
from Kincardine . cut down
the big maple tree whichwas
rotting, the shingles on Gor-
don Rintoul's . house. They
gathered up all ,the jogs and
limbs and left the place
, cleaned up.
This community extends
their sympathy to the rela-
tives and friends in the
passing of Mrs. Vera Scott in
her 88th year on Friday in
Kincardine Hospital. A pri-
vate funeral service was held
with burial in Langside Cem-
etery.
Hallowe'en passed . very
quietly in the village with the
young fry very orderly, man-
nerly and ready to tell their
names. Most had gathered a
good supply of treats. Many
had UNICEF boxes to which
folks made donations.
On Saturday afternoon
Rev. . P. Mills conducted the
Frank -Springer wedding in
the Presbyterian Church.
They held the wedding din-
nerin the Community Mem-
orial Hall for around 80
guests. The reception was
also held in the hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bee-
croft, Kevin, Shannon and
Heather of Wingham visited
on Sunday with his parents,
'Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Bee-
croft.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Forster
and Gary of Lucknow visited
Suncjay with Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Elliott and Karen:
Alan Falconer and Steve
Irwin visited Sunday with
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Donnelly
and family of Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Purdon
visited last week with Dr.
and Mrs: Ed Carey of Kit-
chener.

Lochalsh friends say farewell to Mohcriefs

A number of neighbours
gathered in Lucknow Wed-
nesday evening in the . Com-
munity Centre to pay their
respects as ' a going away
gesture to Dr. Russell, and
Lesley Moncrief before they
move to Aylmer next week. A
friendly game of euchre was
played by all.
Russell and Lesley were
presented with a lovely elect-
ric clock. The reading of fare-
well was given by Jean
Farrish and was written by
Florence MacKenzie, who -
was .unable to attend on ac-
count of illness. Bertha Mac-
Kenzie gave the presenta-
tion.
Russell and Lesley • both
thanked the neighbours' for
their lovely gift. A bountiful
lunch and social time was
had by all.
Mrs. Ewan (Marj) Mac-
Lean spent a couple of days
in Sarnia with relatives.
Jim Webster of Waterloo
was home . on the weekend
visiting with his parents,
Wellington and Kae Webst-
er.
