It was a nice dry even- ing and the girls and boys were out with their friends and chums going from house to house. Many were carrying white plastic shopping bags. We noted that, they made the children more visible on the streets - something to be remembered again next year. Calling here were 28 young people starting with Tammy Fludder and Nancy Nugent and ending about nine thirty with Tim Scott from the 12th concession, two blocks north of Ripley and friends Bob Blackwell from the 4th concession, two blocks south on the 15th and Shawn Crewe from the 4th con. of Bruce, north of Tiver- ton. Fran and Ab enjoyed talk -0 ing with each group. They were all kind and polite. Later it was .nice to watch the tired youngsters making their way back home.
