Mrs. Philip (Jean) Stew-
art who is leaving our com-
munity to . 11ve with her
daughter, Winnie.in London,
was surprised by a gathering
of ' her family on, Friday,.
October,l in her honour,
Twenty four members gath-
ered at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. George Newbold to say
'au revoir' to Jean who has
been such a supportive mem-
ber of Lucknow for many
years. • .
She was presented with a
sewing hassock, and expres-
sed her thanks. to the group
in most Suitable. fashion. She
will miss the people of
Lucknow as they will miss
her.

day, October 22, and pres-

bie Lowry, daughter of Mr.

completed 14 4=H projects
and 'received: the cash award
in Juty.She is;enrolled at the

Hospital, Ladies Auxiliary
held a most successful rum-
mage • sale . which •' earned
$2,199.90.
Warm and sunny weather
attracted a large crowd from
the surrounding, communit-
ies to •the 'Armouries last
Friday morning.
The sale featured an excel-
lent variety of articles includ-
ing clothing for men, women
and children, china furnit-
ure, shoes, boots and toys..

Auxiliary members reported
that. $460.15 worth of ladies'
clothing was sold together
with $131.03 worth of miscel-
laneous ladies' articles.
Other figures reported
were 5333.10 men's clothing
and miscellaneous goods;
$231.78 shoes; 578.15 hats
and purses; $57.50 books and
toys; $339.14 fine china;
$265.15 draipes and spreads;
$96.00 furniture; S375 green
thumb and S284.35 worth of
children's clothing.
