The Roll Call was answered with a Thanksgiv- ing hanksgiving Thought. Mrs. Jim Hunter presented the Bible Study, taken from the article in the Observer . on Evangelism & Social Action, she wasassisted by "Mrs. Tom Hehn. The president led in prayer, and Mrs. Alex Hackett had a . quiz on the Thanksgiving Turkey. Minutes of Yesteryear were given by Mrs. Gordon McPherson. Mrs. Jim Ait- chison gave a reading on Threshing Grain years ago. Beatrice McQuillan prepared the topic, Winter with the family and friends and how they visited and entertained,in years past.. It was read by Mrs. Harold Cooper. Current 'Events were given by Mrs. Ernest Gaunt. The hostesses were Mrs. Russel Phillips and Mrs. Bob Markham who served a lovely lunch. St. Helen's U.C.W., St. Helen's U.C.W. met on October 12, 1982 at Mrs. Don Cameron's home. Mrs. Frank McQuillin was in charge of the worship. The theme was "Thankfuhiess.", The Scripture was read by Mrs. McQuillan and was followed by a sheet reading. Mrs. McQuillin had a prayer. and a reading, Thanksgiving was read 'by Mrs. Tom Todd. Mrs. Isobel Killer gave a prayer of Thanksgiving. Mrs. Gordon - McPherson had the topic. She gave an interesting and informative talk, presenting an in- troduction tothe study for this year on the "Pacific Way." Mrs. Gordon McPherson was in charge of the business. The meeting closed with a bountiful lunch served by Mrs. Eldon Miller. Courtesy remarks were given by Mrs. Isobel Mier.
