Teacherspeaks...to institute
On Tuesday evening,
October 12. the
Education and Cultural
Activities meeting of
Whitechurch W.I. was
held in the Community
Memorial Hall. The
president Mrs. Agnes
Farrier opened the meeting
with a wand welcome.
• Whitechurch W.I. are invited
to send five members to
Wingham W.I. 80th an-
niversary on October 21.
Bruce County Rally is
• October 21 at Sauble Beach.
Mrs. Russel McGuire and
Miss Merle Wilson were
appointed to attend. •

School.
The motto, It's what we

it all that counts, was given
by Mrs. James Wilson, who
stressed we learn from the
cradle to the grave.
Mrs. Wilson introduced the
guest speaker,. Mrs. Audrey
Tiffin of Wingham. She has
taught school for 22 years
and is still teaching English.
She has also attended
Sunday School for many
years. She stressed
Education begins early,
never ends, is available and
adaptable.
Mrs. Russel McGuire
thanked Mrs. Tiffin and
presented her with a gift.
Mrs. Don Ross pianist
accompanied the singing.
Lunch was served by Mrs.
Alan- Falconer and Mrs.
Teresa Caslick.

Langside has first snowfall
The first snow of winter
fell this weekend and on Sun-
day a large flock of geese
were seen flying south.
Wonder how many saw the
large rainbow during the
showers Friday forenoon.
Karen Young was one of
the F. E. Madill grade 13
students who went to Strat-
ford to the Shakespearean
playhouse on Friday, Oc-
tober 8.

ding anniversary at the
Lucknow Legion Friday
evening.
Visitors from Holland
visiting with Mr. and Mrs.
Herman Van Meeteren are
his mother, Mrs. Van
Meeteren who has been '
there seven weeks and is
leaving for Holland on Satur-
day and her sister and
brother-in-law, Tanny and
Tangegran Scheurwater who
came from Holland one week
ago and are staying four
more weeks.
Teeswater fair, which is
held the Friday and Satur-
day before Thanksgiving,
had fine weather this year
and a very large crowd at-
tended making it a real en-
joyable event.
