Hannah Shocbottom and
her son, Lloyd of London
brought' Phoebe Stanley back
to , Marretta Hodgins' home
on Sunday. She had been
spending a while at the Shoe -
bottom home.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hald-
enby attended the silver
wedding anniversary of Mr.
and ' Mrs. Ted Moore on
Saturday evening.

The Curator's meeting of
the Holyrood Women's In-
stitute was held on Thursday
evening at the home of Mrs.
Elwood Elliott. The director
was Mrs. William MacPher-
son, curator for the Holyrood
branch.
The guestspeaker was Mr.
Claus Breede, director of the
Bruce County Museum at
Southampton. who gave a
splendid talk and slide pres-
entation of the overall im-
provements which have been
made to the museum in the
last few years. There wasa
question and answer period,
after .which Mrs. John Scott
expressed appreciation and
presented him with a gift.
Curators from neighbour-
ing Institutes w re also pres-
ent so they tdo could be
updated on the advancement
and the many changes which
have made the museum a
real attraction for tourists, as
well. as IOW people . who
enjoy seeing the articles of
the past being so well
preserved.
The president Mrs.. Lorne
Eadie welcomed everyone
and the roll call was a display
of wedding pictures.
Mrs. John Scott will be the
delegate to the area conven-
tion , at Belmore and Mrs.
°Charles Murray to the rally.
It was decided to have the
annual Remembrance Day
service on November 11.

achievements, and she used
two poems, Can You Rem-
ember? and The Log House
Speaks, by the late Dean
McLeod, to. illustrate.

Sunday to see Mrs. Vip1a
Farquhar, a patient. ,in the
Goderich Hospital and to see
Mrs. Norma Young, also of
Goderich.
Finlay MacLennan of Kin-
cardine,son of Mrs. Rhetta
MacLennan, is still wearing a
whip lash collar since the car
accident ' last May. Finlay
goes to the Kincardine hos-
pital every day for therapy
and will see a specialist in
Londonearly in December.
Mrs. Jessie Alton of Luck -
now visited one day the first
of the week with her brother.
and sister-in-law, Charles
and Mayme Wilkins, before
she leaves for Australia the
first of November, where she
will once again spend the
winter.
, Elizabeth Wilkins, daugh-
ter of Charles and Mayne
Wilkins, had her family call
on her. Wednesday evening
to help her celebrate her
eighteenth birthday:

three of four days on a tour of
the country to see its beauty

wherethey crossed the bord-
er into Michigan, up to Sault
Ste. Marie, where they cros-
sed again into Canada, and
came home around by the
lakes. The weather was just
perfect for their outing and:
they found the scenery won-
derful too.
