Kinlough area hunters bag two moose up north

returned home from their
hunting trip up north and
brought home two moose.

Tammy Hodgins returned "
home from British Columbia
where she has been employ-
ed for some time.
A goodly number from our
area enjoyed a day at Lucan.

The Pentecostal. Women
entertained on Thursday at
their ' Thanksgiving fellow-
ship meeting. Shirley Brown
of Hamilton was the guest
speaker and told of the disap-
pearance of her young son
some years ago. He has
never been heard of since
and ; how 'the Lord sustained
her and her husband and
other family members during
that. traumatic time.
Several ladies took part in
the program. Mrs. Stam
presided and welcomed ev-
eryone. Mrs. Laura Dahmer
presided at the organ and
Mrs: Bernice Courtney at the
piano. Barbara Breckles and
li Mrs. M. Edwards . received
the Thankoffering and gave
the offertory prayer; A nice
time of fellowship was enjoy-
ed at the luncheon..

The Kinlough and District
Bible Society meeting was
held. on Tuesday, September
21 at the Kinloss United
Church.
The . president, Walter
Breckles, welcomed every-
, one and especially the Rev-
erend D. L. Howlett, district
secretary from London:
Mrs. Jim McEwan pres-
i idedt the, organ for the
hymn Xing' and also for the
hymns which , were sung a
throughout the meeting. The'.
president read the scripture
and Rev. Howlett gave the
prayers.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Scheurwater sang two num-
bers . and he gave his testi-
mony. They were accompan-
ied by Mrs. Stewart. Read-
ings were given by Mrs. Tom
McDonald ands, Miss May
Boyle. •.. ,
Rev. Howlett told a great
deal about the need for more
scriptures. In Poland only
one piece of scripture can be
given to an individual. He
expressed appreciation to the
executive and the canvassers
and to all who contributed
towards the .work of the Bible
Society in helping to spread
the word of God.
The society having such
concern for sightless persons
has published 100 copies in
Braille and given them free
of charge te. the C.N.'.B.
Rev. Howlett then showed.
the film of Ron and Aggie
Russell who felt the call. of
God to build a boat, which
they did after much seeking
of "What this mission was".
They are taking the Good
News of the Gospel to folk on
the South Pacific 'stands.
Robert Hodgins received
the offering and gave a
prayer.

Mrs, Leslie Dickinson from
Michigan. Their parents,
Mrs, and. Mrs, Dickinson Sr.,
resided seveveral years ago
at Holyrood where 'Mr, and
Mrs. John Ackert now live.
Mr. Dickinson was employed
by the late Ernest Ackert.
Mr. and Mrs. Delbert
Stanley and boys of Ripley
were dinner guests on Sun-
day with Marretta Hodgins.
Mrs. Don Bushell returned
home from, Bracebridge
where, she spent two weeks
with Mr, and Mrs, Kurt
Nielsen and' infant son, Mat-
thew Christian.
The Holyrood Women's
Institute catered to the Luck-
now Lions Club at the Luck
now Community Centre on
Monday evening,
Rev. J. R. King was the
guest speaker. on Sunday at
the Anglican Harvest
Thanksgiving service. It was
20 years ago he and Mrs.
King came to •Lucknow to
takeover his ministerial
duties and for Sunday he ex-
changed with Rev. Phillip.
Ruch, who took the Kincar-
dine and Lurgan Harvest
services of Thanksgiving,

Rhody returned from Medic -

visited with Mr. and: Mrs,

London with Annie Scott who
underwent major surgery on
