Couple wed at Pine River Churc
Pine River United Church
was the setting for the mar-
raige of Mary Arlene Kemps
ton and Steve Robert Mac-
Nay.on Saturday, July 10,
1982. Reverend Warren Mc-
Dougall of the Lucknow Un-
ited Church officiated.
The bride is theAfughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Bill 'Kemp-
ton of Point Clark. The
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert MacNay of
Amberley.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride chose .a
white French lace gown
covered with seed pearls and
a stand up collar. The long
floating skirt had gathered
ruffles around the bottom.
The bride also wore a finger
tip veil and a wide brimmed
hat turned up at one side and
held by a flower. She wore a
heart shaped diamond neck-
lace, a gift from the groom.
She carried a bouquet of pink
and burgundy roses high-
lighted by feathers and
pearls.
Bridal attendants were
Helen Kempton, a sister of
Tavish, Jenny Regier and
Mary Jane Luescher, all
friends of the bride,
They were dressed alike in
floor -length gowns of pink
polyester with cap sleeves
and cascading overskirt.
They carried white lace fans
decorated with pink and bur-
gundy roses highlted by
white •feather§ and pearls.
They also wore pink wide
brimmed hats turned .up at
one side and held by flowers.,
Lindsey Toakonnah, cous-
in of the groom, was the
flower girl. ,She wore a, pink
polyester gown with ruffles
down the front. She carried a
fan similar to the brides-
maids.
The best man was Tom
Kempton, brother of the
bride. He wore a grey tux-
edo. The ushers were David
Campbell and Bruce Luesch-
er, friends of the groom, and
Rick McQtoillin, a cousin .of
the groom. They wore grey
tuxedos with pink roses
highlighted by a feather.
The bride's mother wore a
long, dusty rose gown, while

During the ceremony the
bride's sisters, Mrs. Linda
McQuillin, Miss Sandra
Kempton and Mrs. Dianne
Rotteau sang To Show by.
Touch and Word" and "It's
Time To Say I Love You".
The reception was held at
the Ripley Huron Complex.
After the wedding the
Kempton
couple travelled to Niagara
Falls f before returning to
their new home .at R. R. 1
Kincardine - Amberley.
The couple was honoured
to have the groom's sister,
Mrs. Sharon Hill from Aust-
ralia attend, and the bride's
great great aunt Agnes
Campbell, 101 years of age,
from Detroit, attend the cere-
mony-

report noting'a fair amount in
the savings account. Kair-
shea has had a very busy
summer, catering, with, re-
ports being given by Mrs.
Harold Howald for the Edis-
bury's 25th anniversary din-
ner, Mrs. Lloyd MacDougall
for the Dickie wedding and
Mrs. Harvey Houston for the
Craft Festival at which Kair-
shea sold iunches, a dinner
at night and ran the booth
during theday. •
Mrs.. Cliff Roulston gave
out booklets when it was
agreed to canvass for Arth-
ritis again this fall from the
7th to 18th of September.
