Wonderland near •Toronto
lately.
A thunderstorm early Sun-
day morning interrupted • the
fineweather the farmers
were needing to get their
grain harvested.

were Mr. and Mrs. ' Elmer
Scott of near Teeswater and
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wightman
of Belgrave.
Joanne de Boer spent
some time with her sister,
Mr: and Mrs. John Knobs
and family of Gowanstown
and enjoyed helping with
their new baby boy.
Jamie Young and friend,
Brian of London, spent last
Wednesday in Sarnia. They
will both be attending their
third year of college there in
the fall..
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Ian Thomas lately were her
sister; Rose Billiccy and her
brother and his girl friend,
ail of .•Cambridge. Cousins
spending several days with
Cody, Chad and Todd Thom-
as were Ryan Barker, Jay
Billiccy and Teresa and Tracy
Peers.
Mrs. Donald Scott's broth-
er from Holland is visiting
with them. They met him at
the Toronto airport. He plans
to spend several weeks with
them on their farm:

nature hike to Hackett's bush

The fourthmeeting of the
Trinity Nutty Naturalists 4-11
clubwas held at the home of
Mrs. Hazel Hackett on Mon-
day, August 2.
Donna Raynard and Bren-
da Hackett prepared Peach
Fruit Leather. Nancy Hunter
and Suzanne Alton made
trail mix to take with the club
later, when they went on
their hike through the bush.

Trinity 4-H club was held on
July 26, 1982 at 7.00 p.m. at
Mrs. Hazel. Hackett's home.

Hackett called the meeting to
order and six members re-
peated the 4-H pledge,

ities were taken up by

Blyth plans three art seminars
Three art seminars will be
conducted by 'Denise Ireland
whose work is on display
throughout August at, the
• Blyth Gallery.
The first seminar, August
16 at 2.00 p.m. will be a slide
retrospective of Denise Ire-
land? work. A children's
practical seminar will be held
on August 17 at 2.00 p.m. It
will involve the children in
I art of their choice. Supplies
Should bebrought by the
children. Wednesday, Aug-
ust 18 brings a similaradult
workshop at 2.00 a.m. Again,
ideas on the style of work to
be done and the appropriate
supplies should be provided
by those who come. It's time
to get into the act, -
Denise Ireland is herself a
painter of large decorative
acrylic landscapes. These are
inspired by her Peterborough
area farm. Ireland explains,
"In the past, I have exhibited
a combination of my land-
scapes with my colour stud-
ies. The colour studies also
reflect my rural environment
but iii, a less abstract way. 1
have used natural dyes, from
the area to dye sheep's wool
also from the area, and
arrived at a complete colour
scale from organic dyes in
various combinations."
