The release stated that industrial wages have double& in terms of real dollars, since 1974. The statement should have read that industrial wages are double that of farm incomes. • Industrial wages and farm" incomes were roughly the same in 1974. Since then, in real (1971) dollars, average•industrial earnings in Ontario have risen from $7,550 in •1974 to $7,640 in 1981. In the sane period, realized net income per census farm in Ontario decreased from $1,450 to $4,330, (in real dollars), even when taking into account the decline in numbers of farmers. We chose. 1974 as thebase year since it was the only year since the Korean War that netfarm income came close to the level of industrial wages: The OFA regrets any inconvenience this error may have caused. ta.MacLennan fora couple of days. -- A Day .School has been operating all summer at Point Clark, sponsored by, the recreation committee of Huron Township.
