Last Saturday, July 31, r W Culbert,, well-known and just recently retired storekeeper here, died in University Hospital in Lon- don. About mid -week he was transferred there from Kin- cardine hospital where he was a patient for a brief time. The funeral service was held yesterday after- noon Tuesday August 3 at 3. p.m, at the MacKenzie Mc- Creath Funeral Home in Ripley, interment was in the Ripley .. Cemetery. Conduc- ting the service were Rev. Phillip Ruch of St. Pauls' Anglican Church, Ripley. and Rev. George Garrett of Lucknow. Surviving are his wife the former Annie Bowers, two daughters Shirley,. Fraser is a patient in Wingham hospital. John and Donna Carter and Leonard Irwin returned on Saturday after holidaying - for a' week at North Bay. They took a tour for a day on the Commander II from North Bay down the French River; John and Pat visited with Dave Milne of Calendar, formerly, of Lucknow, . whom they have not seen in about 40 years. Margaret Maclntyre spent 10 days holidaying with her were, fire chief Ivan Cook, Bob Johnston; Ray Fuller, Jack Scott, Don Peterbauugghh, Harvey Pollock; Bill Robin= son, George McLean, Brian Pollock, Bernie Twolan, and Ted Rouse.
