Lucknow, July 13, 1982, on
her 89th birthday,
Born in Huron Township
she was the daughter of John
and Margaret MacDonald.
From a family of twelve she
is survived by her sister
Tena, Mrs, Ben Shewfelt of
Swan River; Manitoba.
She taught school at S.S.15
and 8,8.3, Huron Township
and also in Fort William
where she 'married Clarke
Campbell, They moved to
Edmundston, New
Brunswick Where her hus-
band was : employed by
Fraser Company until their
. retirement to Ripley in 1984.
She was predeceasedby
her husband and a son, John.
Mrs. Campbell was a
member of Knox
Presbyterian Church,
Ripley, where she had been
an active W.M.S. worker and
leader of a children's group.
The funeral service was
held at the MacKenzie, Mc-
Creath Funeral Home
Ripley with Rev. Hugh
Nugent officiating. Inter-
iment was in Ripley
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donald
MacTavish, Burton 'Iriffith,
and nephews, Jo. 0. Mac-
Donald, Cottrtney Mac,
Donald, John D, MacKay
and Brian MacKay. Colin
MacLennan and Geor.,ge
McLean were
fiowerbearers.
Mary McKenzie
Miss. Mary McKenzie of
Huronview, formerly of Ash-
field Township, died in
Huronvtew on Sunday, July
11 at the age of 99.
She was born in Ashfield
Township to Donald and
Mary (MacKenzie),
McKenzie on January 28,
1883.
She was a member of Knox
Presbyterian Church,
Goderich.
She is survived • by one
sister-in-law, Mrs. Erna
McKenzie of Vancouver and
several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by
one sister, Grace, Reg. N.;
and six brothers,James,
John A. Dr. Hecto, Private
Alexander (killed in action in
1944), Donald and Roddy.
A funeral service was held
at McCallum Funeral Home
on Wednesday, July 14 at 2
p.m. The. Reverend Arthur
C. Young officiated.
Interment was in Kintail
Cemetery.
Pallbearers, were Robert
McAllister, Donald
McKenzie, the Reverend
D.A. McKenzie, Roderick
McKenzie, Tom Brown and .
John McKenzie.

died on Sunday, July 18,1982
in his 98th year. The oldest of ,
a family of nine children
born to the late Albert Towle
and the late Elizabeth Anti
Logan of Paramount, he
grew to .young manhood at
Paramount. in; Huron
Township.
He left this area as a young
man to work as an engineer
in the western provinces. un-
til his retirement to Van -
(quiver.
He was predeceased by his
wife, Mildred Long, former-
ly of the 12th concession,
Ashfield Township.
He is survived by two
daughters, Grace Evans of
Vancouver and Jean Towle
of Hawaii, two grand-
children and . two sisters,
Mrs. Jean Crump of
Wingham and. Mrs. Annette
Muir of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
He was predeceased by
five brothers and one sister,
Sidney, Stella, William,
Leroy, Emerson and Calvin.
Cremation and burial
followed in Vancouver.
Graduate nurses meet
The graduate nurses of
Wingham General Hospital
held their annual • picnic at
the home of Clarence and
Kay Greenin:Exeter on July
18. •
A delicious smorgasbord
dinner was enjoyed at 12:30.
noon. The afternoon was
spentvisiting and reminisc-
ing abort their training
days.
Florence McKenzie con-
ducted a short business
meeting. Jean McQuillan
gave the report on the last
meeting and a minute's
silence was observed in
memory of former nurses..
Mrs. Green was thanked
for her hospitality.
Florence McKenzie was
re-elected president and
Jean- McQuillan was re- •
elected secretary -treasurer.
It was moved by Eva Carr
and seconded by Jean Mof-
fatt to adjourn the meeting.
