relatives held a family reu-

around 40 gathered to play
games and visit.

in the Whitechurch Com-
munity, Memorial Hall with
hostess, Mrs. Wm. Rintoul,

Mrs. Russel McGuireread
the minutes and gave the
f ifiancial Statement. The
Roll Call was answered by a
penny a year of Motherhood.
The motto, the past cannot
be changed but the future is
in our hands, was prepared
by Mrs. Vic Emerson who
was ill and given by Mrs.
McGuire.
Guest branches present
were Teeswater, Maitland
and Lucknow.
Mrs. Johnston Conn in-
troduced the guest speaker,
Mary. Dawson, Warden of
Warkworth Institution. With
the use of slides she describ-
ed the institution. There are
around 400 inmates of which
70 are serving for murder.
Each has a cell 6 x 10 feet
holding a bed, chair, desk
and toilet. They . are given.
three meals a day, There is a
woodworking shop,; welding
shop, upholstery and bake
shop. Radio -television and
photography courses are.
also taught.
