The dates for payment of 1982 taxes . will be first instalment June 15, final instalment November 15, Council approved a budget for 1982 of $1,475,259 and by-law #10, 1982 setting the mill .rates was given three readings and passed with the •following rates, (1981 rates in brackets): General Town- ship, Farm and Residential - 48.04 (47,36); Commercial and Business - 56.52 (55.72); Dungannon Street Lights 16.73 (12.53), 19.68 (14.74); County 33.97 (32.90), 39.97 (38.71); Public Elementary -• `64.11 (6164), 75.43 (72.51); Huron -Perth Separate - 63.50• (57.73), 74;71 (67.92); Grey- Bruce Separate '63,697 (56.39); Secondary - 56.74 (49.08); 66..76 (57.74). Total Pdblic School. Supporter 202.86 (190.98); 238.68 (224.68); total Separate School Supporter Huron- Perth - 202.25 (187.07); 237.96 (220.09); Grey -Bruce - 202.447 (185.73). This is an increase of 11.88 mills for a Public School. Supporter and 15.18 mills: for a Separate School'Supporter. Gaunt On Tuesday evening, May 4, West Wawanosh Town- ship Council met • for its regular meeting in the office' of the Municipal Building. All members were .in attend- ance with Reeve Durnin pre- siding. ' • The minutes of the April meeting . were adopted as printed on motion of Coun- cillors Cranston and Durnin. Mrs. Annie . Gaunt, West Wawanosh and Ashfield rep- resentative on the Wingham and District Hospital Board of Governors, attended the meeting and . reported to Council on her year as such representative. Mrs. Gaunt agreed to act for another two-year teeth, and a nomin- ation paper was completed in her name to be forwarded to the . Board. Management at the dume was discussed. Council was informed of the Ministry of the Enviroment's inspection on April 27, and the recom- mendations made at that. time. A Site Plan for the 'dump must be prepared by December 31, 1982, and the Clerk was directed to contact several engineering firms to obtain quotations for prepar- ation of a plan: The Drainage Superinten- dent was given: authority by Council to walk the St. Aug- ustine Creek which is ' the creek involved in the Robin- son Drainage Works. Ano application for ' sever- ance by Raymond Hallahan to correct the title of the propertywas .approved by Council. By-law #8-82 was given third reading and finally passed on motion of Coun- cillors Brindley a d Seeger. This by-law authorizes the levying of mill rates for taxationfor the year 1982. Rates in the by-law are: Residential - 56.96 (55.34) and Business and Commer- cial - 67.01 (65.11); County - 23.74 .. (20.;3) and 27.93•• (24.62).; Huron County Elem- entary - 42.83 (41.14) and 50.39 (48.40); Huron County Secondary - 38.00 (32:74) and 44.71 (38.51); Huron -Perth County R.C.S.S. - . 43.59 (39;62);. Bruce -Grey County'. R.C.S.S. - 42.86 (37.44) and 50A2 (44.05); Auburn Gener- al 11+.64 (9.89) . and 13.69 (11.64); Auburn Street Lights 25.73 (34.18); and 30.27 (40.21); Dungannon Street Lights 14.22 (13.58) and 16..72 (15.98). (Braeketed .fig- ures are 1981 rates.) By-law # 9-82 was given third reading and finally passed on motion of Coun- cillors Brindley and Cran- ston. This by-law levies a. special annual rate on sever- al properties to coyer tile drain loans. By-law # 10-82 was given third reading and finallypas- sed on motion of Counillors Durning and Cranston. This by-law appoints Chief George Whitby of Lucknow, as the Fire Chief for West Wawanosh Township. Motion by Councillors Brindley' 'and Durnin, That the Road. Superintendent is hereby authorized to adver- tise in three local papers for tenders for approximately 40,000 cuibic yards of pit run - gravel for road construction in 1982. • Road cccounts in the am- ount of .$5,425.55 were ord- ered paid on . motion ' of Councillors Seeger and Cran- ston. The . general accounts in the ' amount of 510,221.90 were passed for payment on motion , of Councillors Brind- ley and Durnin.
