On Tuesday evening, May
4, West Wawanosh Town-
ship Council met • for its
regular meeting in the office'
of the Municipal Building.
All members were .in attend-
ance with Reeve Durnin pre-
siding. ' •
The minutes of the April
meeting . were adopted as
printed on motion of Coun-
cillors Cranston and Durnin.
Mrs. Annie . Gaunt, West
Wawanosh and Ashfield rep-
resentative on the Wingham
and District Hospital Board
of Governors, attended the
meeting and . reported to
Council on her year as such
representative. Mrs. Gaunt
agreed to act for another
two-year teeth, and a nomin-
ation paper was completed in
her name to be forwarded to
the . Board.
Management at the dume
was discussed. Council was
informed of the Ministry of
the Enviroment's inspection
on April 27, and the recom-
mendations made at that.

'dump must be prepared by
December 31, 1982, and the
Clerk was directed to contact
several engineering firms to
obtain quotations for prepar-
ation of a plan:
The Drainage Superinten-
dent was given: authority by
Council to walk the St. Aug-
ustine Creek which is ' the
creek involved in the Robin-
son Drainage Works.

By-law # 9-82 was given

special annual rate on sever-
al properties to coyer tile
drain loans.
By-law # 10-82 was given
third reading and finallypas-
sed on motion of Counillors
Durning and Cranston. This
by-law appoints Chief
George Whitby of Lucknow,
as the Fire Chief for West
Wawanosh Township.
Motion by Councillors
Brindley' 'and Durnin, That
the Road. Superintendent is
hereby authorized to adver-
tise in three local papers for
tenders for approximately
40,000 cuibic yards of pit run -
gravel for road construction
in 1982. •
Road cccounts in the am-
ount of .$5,425.55 were ord-
ered paid on . motion ' of
Councillors Seeger and Cran-
ston.
The . general accounts in
the ' amount of 510,221.90
were passed for payment on
motion , of Councillors Brind-
ley and Durnin.
