Mendelsohn Youth Choir sings. at Blyth
The, Blyth Festival Singers
are pleased to present the
Toronto Mendelssohn Youth
Choir in an evening of choral
music on Saturday; May 8th
at 8 p.m. in Blyth Memorial
Hall.
The Toronto Mendelssohn
Youth Choir was formed in
January 1978 under the
sponsorship of The Toronto
Mendelssohn Choir and , is
composed of 80 high school
aged sin8ers from Metropol-
itan Toronto and the sur-
rounding area. Besides pres-
enting its own concerts each
season, the Toronto Men-
delssohn Youth . Choir has
appeared : as guests with ' the
Toronto. Mendelssohn Choir;
The Toronty Symphony, and
Canadian Brass.,
The choir is under the dir
ection of the , well-known
Canadian conductor Robert
Cooper. Besides being con-
ductor of the highly success-
ful Ontario Youth Choir in
1978, and the .1979 Stratford
Youth Choir, Mr. Cooper is a
widely recognized Choral
Clinician.. Currently he is
director of the Opera in

season off.with a get together
at ,Holyrood Hall on Friday,
