Weather a promise of summer to come
• Hopefully this beautiful
weekend is a promise of
thingstocome rather than a
teasing taste of Spring not
yet prepared to stay.
Throughout the area several
farmers found land was fair-
ly dry and some dust could,
be seen flying this past
weekend.
Another sure sign of Spr-
ing was the 'TROUT"
caught on the weekend by
Sheena and Andrew Mac-
Donald and Robbie and Tod
Thompson of Purple Grove.
Wednesday afternoon,
several small friends and
cousins Joy Ellen, John Paul
and Joel Greenwood of
Teeswater gathered to help
• celebrate Tanya Farrell's
fourth birthday.• -

spent , Sunday ' helping

Donald Forester's uncle
Cecil Forester of
Palmerston passed away on

Friday in Listowel. Ruth and
Gordon Patterson attended
the funeral. Sympathy is ex-
tended to the family.

sons attended the banquet at
the Ripley Huron Commtthi-
ty Centre Saturday evening.
This was the final event of
the season for all of the
hockey players.

best impersonator was Lisa
Collins, who was dressed up
as Charlie Chaplin, There
was also a dance at noon

eleven dramatic arts class.

the door and $65 was raised

On Apr. 28 there will be an

starting at 8:00 p.m. The
• theme this year is "Growing
Together”. There will be a
• slide presentation that
• depicts some • school ac-
tivities, a band presentation,
micro -computer, video
cassette and recorder
demonstrations. There will
be classroom ,subject
displays and refresiunents

On Apr. 21 there was a
table, tennis tournament in
• Chesley. The Ripley team
• members did well. •
Variety Night
