The Whitechurch U.C.W.
meeting was held Tuesday
evening, April 6 at the home
of Mrs.• Lorne Durnin. Mrs.
Milan Moore opened the
meeting with a meditation.
Colleen Adams led in
prayer. Mrs. Pauline Adams
read a poem, We all have a
job to do 'no one else can do.
Mrs. Muriel Thompson read
the scripture. Mrs. Millan
Moore gave a reading, Jesus
washing his disciples feet in
a basin. Mrs. Thompson read
scripture. Mrs. Moore read a
poem, 'Pilate at the Trial of
Jesus,
A contest on the United
Church was held. Mrs.,
Moore read an item from.
Miss Lois Wilson's book.
Eleven answered the roll
call, by things our grandpar-
ents didn't have. Mrs. Rus-
sel Chapman read the min-
utes and called the roll. Mrs.
Moore thanked the hostess.

Whitechurch Dough Girls
held their last meeting in the
form of a. party on Saturday,
April 3' at 10 "a.m. at. Mrs.
Elliott's home.
Janet Laidlaw read the
minutes of the previous
meeting. Mrs. Elliott demon-
strated • Hungarian Braid.
Mrs. Purdon 'showed mens-
hers Armenian peda Bread.
Members made exhibit post-
ers and planned the layout of
the exhibit for .Achievement
Day: Members then enjoyed
a delicious meal of fruit
juices, peda braid, ' with a
variety of filling relishes and
Hungarian Bread.
