By Valetta Emerson Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Keith Carson of R. 3, Wingham on the arrival of their son, Lucas, 8 lbs. 2 oz., at Wingham and District Hospital on March 11, 1982, a brother for Mark. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Rintoul, Steven, Stuart and Scott of West Wawanosh visited on Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Straker of Wingham called on Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson on Friday. Rev. and Mrs. John Bell spent Friday with their granddaughter, Carrie Bell, a patient at Guelph Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Evans of -London went to Kincar- dine on Sunday to pay re- spects to Mrs. Peter Moffat and, his mother, Mrs. Bill Evans accompanied them to visit with her former neigh- bours here. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Em- erson,. Darlene, Sharon and Brenda of St. Catharines spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson. WIdtecharch 411 Meeting 5 of Whitechurch Dough Girls was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 20 at Walter Elliott's. For roll call each member named a sweet yeast bread; Cathy Dow read the minutes of meeting four. Mrs. Elliott helped to shape sweet rolls and hot dog buns. She . demonstrated Scottish Currant Bread. The members experimented us- ing different types of flour. Mrs. Purdon discussed glazing bread with eggs and showed bow to check Tthe gluten of baking bread with- out preheating the oven and browning bread. Each mem- ber judged her own brown bread and then judged samples of two other loaves.., They finished their discus- sion with a crossword puzzle.
