Gordon Cayley, Ken Irwin,
Paul Finlay, and Doug Clark.
They also played "Bless This
House" during the service.
The congregation gathered

for a pot luck lunch in the
Fellowship, room,followed by
the annual congregational.

chaired the meeting with
Stuart Collyer acting as sec-
retary. •
The annual report was
reviewed, containing reports
of the various groups and •
interests in our Church - the
Minister's report and Statist-
ical Summary; the reports of
the Worship Committee, ,the
Christian Education Commit-
tee, the Fellowship and Out-
reach Committee; the . Prop-
erty Committee, and the
Finance Committee; the
U: C.W.; the C.G.I,T;; the
Sunday School; the. Youth
Group; the Study Group; the
Junior Choir; the Senior
Choir; the Memorial and Gift
Committee; and the Manse
Committee.
The Mission and Service
.report showed that the 1981
goal of $8,000 was surpas-
sed, with over 59,500 being
raised for Missions. Accord-
ing to the financial report
and 1982 budget, it appears
that 1982 will be a challeng-
ing year, with the budget
indicating that close to
$50,000 will have to be raised
for local purposes, plus our
1982 Mission and Service
goal of $8,500. The congre=
gation trusts that they will

The January meeting . of
the; Ashfield W.M.S. was
held at the home of Mrs.
Richard West on January 28.
Mrs. Henry MacKenzie
opened the meeting with a
New Year's ' thought and
prayer. Mrs. Henry Mac-
Kenzie gave a New Year's
meditation and Mrs, Jim
MacKenzie read a poem.
The worship service from
the study was taken by Mrs.
Warren Wylds and, Mrs.
Hugh Nugent showed slides
about Gateway Community
Church, Toronto which hous-
es the Presbytefian and
Catholic congregations.
Mrs. Nugent introduced
the first chapter of the Study
Book, Neighbours or Strang-
ers,'and a questionnaire was.
completed. •She closed the
study with a dramatic read-
ing with everyone taking
part.
Mrs. Warren Wyldsgave a
report on articles in Glad
Tidings. Roll call was an-
swered by telling how we can
improve our W.M.S. meet-
ings and the payment of fees.
The business portionof the
meeting was capably handl-
ed by Mrs. Henry MacKen-
zie with reports ` for 1981
given by the secretaries and
