Storm creates havoc for motorists.
By Kee Webster
Last weekend we again
had our ..regular weekend
storm, it may not have been
as badas the weekend
before, but it sure succeeded
in blocking roads and making
driving very hazardous in our
snow belt area.
It was during the storm: a
week ago that .five people
from Richfield, Ohio and
area tried to make it our
area. They were Atlee Wise,
Ron and Jeneane Sholtys,
Robin Davis and Scott'Schim-
andle.. They found travelling
ideal to Grand Bend. There
the police detoured them to
Exeter, then to Seaforth.
There they were told to take
a side road, and about two
miles from Clinton they ran
into trouble and were forced
to spend the night ina motel,
finally reaching their destin-
ation, here, Monday about
noon, This did not dampen
their spirits. The group,
along with Cecil and Jim
Webster, were off on their
snowmobiles enjoying their
favourite sport.
On Wednesday Ron and.
Scott returned home. The
others remained until Thurs-
day. Cecil Webster returned,
to the U.S. with them.
I am sorry about there not
being any Lochalsh news last
week. But there was not any
mail . delivery (Saturday, the
days thisgoes in) : and it did
not get in the papers.
Mrs_ Marion Zinn and

taken on a project this winter
that will take a lot Of their
time for a few. months. They
are compiling the history of
each farm on both sides of
Highway 86 from Paramount
to Amberley. :So if all you
guys and gals would get
digging it would help the
women greatly. When ' it, is
completed it will be put into
a book. Good luck girls.
Mrs. ' Emile MacLennan
had her brother and sister-in-
law, Harold and Peggy Jar-
dine of Harriston call in on
her one day.

tropics,. Venezuela, for a
couple of weeks.
