The Lucknaw ' District . Kinsmen : Club
recently purchased just over $3,000 worth of
equipment to outfit ' the "Lucknow District
Fire Departinent's,new emergency van. The
equipment; a smaller version of the ' Jaws,off
Life', is mainly to be used for extrication at
accident emergency . scenes.
The kit was presented to Lucknow's fire
chief, George Whitby by, Kinsman. Rod
McDonagh, chairman of Kin Summerfest'81
which raised some of the money for the
equipment and Lucknow Kinsmen Club
.. president, Greg Make.

Lucknotw ball _park. This . project:, was
prompted by the chance of players injuring
themselves onthe fence surrounding . the
field. The workwits done by Huron
Landscaping Ltd., L: uck`kiatow,
Funds for these two projects were mainly
raised from Kin Summerfest 81 held in June.
It was an enormous success this , year with
over $400 goring back to the Community
Centre as well.
Approximately 16S tickets were old in the.
Kinsmen Hockey Pool this year with project
chairman Cliff Mann being top salesman.

Youth remains in hospital
following farm accident
A Huron Township boy remains in the
critical care unit at Vittoria Hospital, Loafer;
following a farm accident friday evening.
Jeff Scott, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Scotty was helping his father unload a
gravity boa dowry, When he climbed into the
wagon to push the corn: towards the
unloading chute. He was buried beneath a
rush of coin and smothered.
Jeff was pulled from the wagon by his
father, two brothers, Tim and :Robert and a
Mend Shawn Crewe of Tiverton, who were
helping to unload the wagons.
Shawn applied mouth to mouth resuscita-
tion to revive Jeff and he was rushed iIso
Kincardine General Hospital by his father,
He was later transffcrred to Vittoria Hospital
in London.

Plans for implementationof Bill 82 on
Special' education are to be comnplewted. by
May 1, 1982 and with that goal in mind,
Huron County Board of Education has been
`busy.
Previously, established e5Dmmitte es have
held meetings for the purpose of detennin-
ing the needs of special education in Huron
County.
Superintendent W. D Ke nwetl told trust-
ees that two of 2S forms to be fille 4 have
been completed. He sad in -se t9ie'e training
of teachers and prinacipals is cutretntly under-
way.
