Miss Jean MacDonald of the Pineorest Manor Nursing Home in Lucknow Spent' a few days last week with her sister Noreen MacDonald at their home on Malcolm Street in Ripley. • Mr. an4, Mrs. Harry J. Roulston of Kitchener called at the house here on Monday of last week Jan. 26. Harry is the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Edgar Roulston - both natives of Huron township and Ripley. • He expressed his thanks for the item in this column re the recent passing of his mother ; - ,the: former klorence - Chapman. Mrs. Harry Roulston told us that she was Dorothy Young of Londen before her marriage to Harry Roulston. ' Quite -a coincidence this was for Ah Wylds. This was the second lady with this , name to meet him in the past • lour menthe: , Thefiret one was his lab - partner in --the thirties at Western University arid mother of Mrs. Sheila (Bill) „limy ill. Harry RoulelpnIncntioned the times in hi§, early years when he visited the late Mr, and Mrs, William Knight across from Knox Church. • Harry is a first cousin of Harry Chapman of Lorne Beach ,(Kincardine). Both are grandsons of the late 11. , P. Chapman who started the first newspaper here the Ripley Enquirer. Later it was purchased by George Mooney and it became the Ripley Express. Mr. and Mrs. Roulston have their' summer cottage. at Bbir's Grove And were in Ripley to attend the meeting re the proposed sub division there. The Ripley Huron Figure Skating Club .are trying something different this year to raise money. • On this Friday afternoon February 6th from one to four thirty there will be a • Tupperware And Stanley party. The proceeds will go to 'the club which promotes this recreation in the Ripley' Huron Community Complex, They are invitirig everyone to drop'. in and browse around.. Not counting those lastdays in November there hasalreadybeen two, months of snow squalls and. low temperatures December and January.
