The True Meaning of Christmas What really is the true meaning of Christmas? Well, it surely isn't the presents. It all started when Mary .and. ,Joseph were going to have a child. There was no room in the inn, sothe baby was born in a .manger wrapped in swaddling cloths._Jesus came :to cleanse' its from our sins. The true meaning of Christmas was when/ Jesus was born, just like when we were born. • . • Most of the time people think Christmas is, presents and Santa Claus. In a way it is. The presents .are for friendship and showing each other our love. Jesus is ,a different story: He is so loving and cares for us so much that He died on the cross for our sins. Even without the presents and all that, Jesus told us to love each other and show it. Listen to all those Christmas songs. They sound so pleasant. Many talk about Jesus. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas, but, rememl%er it's not justthe presents. It's our Saviour Jesus Christ. By Darlene Wickert, Grade 8, Lucknow and District Christian.
