"Silent night, Holy night..."
May all things beautiful be
yours this happy holiday!
A New Year's Resolution
Most of the time when it comes to New
Years 1 usually don't make resolutions, but
,this year Iwill.
In this upcoming year my will power
better help me -carry out the things I wish
to correct in my life. I hope to make it a
happy and a humble year. This year I will
make myself a proposition of serving. the
Lord all 365; days of the • year.
I hdp to do good in school for the
remainder of this school year., and through,
the years to come. (I will be going to high
school). I hope I will get along with every-
body and not do the things I'm , not.
permitted to do, even though Satan's
temptations will probably get the better of
me.
I wish you all a very merry Christmas
and a happy and humble New Year.

New Year's Resolutions
I usually don't make resolutions and
when I do I usually try to ,keep them for
about one 'week. But this. year I have
decided to make resolutions and live up to
them,
One of my most importantones will be to
bring my marks up in certain subjects. This
is very important to me seeing that this will
. be my last year in elementary school.
When I enter high' school: I want to have
good marks because I heard that high
school is much harder than elementary
school.
Another thing I want to do is cut down on
.all the things l waste. I think this is very
important also'because when you think of
the 3rd world countries and how little they
have, and then think of all I waste, I feel
sinful. I hope that 1986 will be a good year
for . all of us.

New Year's Resolutions
"What . are you doing?" said Beth's`
younger sister. '`I am writing out my New
Year's resolutions: "New year's what?"
"New year's 'Oh never mind, I would
think you are deaf." So Beth picked up her
pen and began to write. Here is what she
wrote: '
"I will remember to throw my dirty
smelly socks in the laundry.
-I will try to do my homework neat,
complete, and done on time.
-I will try to keep my room neat and clean.
-Twill try not to get sent out in the hall for
talking.
-I will try not to aggravate my teachers or
my mom l;y fiddling with . pens, spoons,
cups etc. But 1 know I still will."
Beth wrote theseand more.
We make New Year's Resolutions: but
some of us may not keep them. I know I
don't keep mine. What am I•talking about?
I don't think I make any anyways. Merry
Christmas everyone!

The True Meaning of Christmas
Lots of people think that Santa Claus,
presents, and a nice big tree are the real
meanings of .Christmas. That's not true
though. At least I was told and taught that
Jesus was the true meaning of Christmas.
Do you know who Jesus is? He was just
like you and me, a human being.. But he
was also God who came to save us.
You see, long long ago in a town called
Bethlehem, . a little baby called Jesus was
born. That's why we celebrate Christmas
because Jesus was born.
His mother and his father went to
Bethlehem because each and every man
had to go to his home town to pay taxes.
When they got there all the inns were full.
and there was only a stable left. So they
went in and used the stable. A few hours
later Jesus was torn. It was a very happy
night. This is whit people told me was the".
true meaning of Christmas. I believe it too.
Merry Christmas.

What Christmas Means to Me
At Christmas we give presents to
celebrate Jesus'' birth and to show that we
love those around us.
Jesus' birth is important to me because
He came into this world on Christmas Day
to die` on the cross for all our sins. If it . .
wasn't for Jesus dying on the cross I doubt
I would be going to this school or church.
I'm glad he died for me! .
Presents are another part of Christmas,'
It is a time to give and receive presents.
It's also a time that the whole family can
get together and celebrate Christmas. I
wish that those around us will soon findthe
loveof Jesus filling their hearts.

The True Meaning of Christmas
1
The star brought wise men to the stable
Without it they weren't able.
There were shepherds, three or four,
Maybe there were even more.
I want you to know that Jesus was born
On that Christmas night, not morn.
The day is very special to me
Because -Jesus was born you see.
