Mildmay came to. Lucknow on Nov. 22
and defeated .the hometown team 7 - 3.
Scoring was by 'Jeff Gammie, one g•al,
Wayne Nivens, two goals, Kevin De . •
and C. Murray, one assist each.
November 26 saw Lucknow el to
Harriston where they skinned through with
a' 4-3 win. Scoring by C. Murray, :Wayne
Nivens, Kevin De Jong and Harvey Kikkert
withone goal each; assists' went to Scott
Gibson, Kent Campbell, Kevin De Jong,
Jeff Gammie and Dave MacDougall with
two.
Lucknow travelled to Wallace on Nov. 29
for a one and one half period hockey game,
which was a bit of a twist to things. The
Wallace goalie was requested to leave the
game and as theyhad no alternate, the
balance of the game was played as an
exhibition with Johnathon Nelson filling, in
for Wallace. The score . was 4 = 1 for
Lucknow by. default. Scoring were Harvey
Kikkert, one oal, and one assist, Kirk
Livingston, one• goal, Kevin De Jong, 2
goals and one assist and Mark McConnell
one goal.
Howick paid 'a visit to Lucknow on Dec. 6
and beat the hometown boys 5 - 2. Scoring
for Lucknow were Harvey Kikkert with two
goals, Kevin De Jong with two assists and
Jeff Gammie one assist.
Ripley defeated Lucknow'5 - 3 in Ripley
on Dec. 12. The Lucknow lads had a 2 - 0
lead at the end, of the first and remained off
the score board until 13:41 of the third
period. Scoring was by Kirk Livingston,
one goaland one assist, Kent Campbell,
one goal, Sammy Murray, one goal, with'
assists going to Jim Sinnett and. Kevin De
Jong.
Harriston visited Lucknow on a snowy
evening Dec. 13. taking home a close loss of
5 -4: Steve Mensinga played his first game
in nets and stood up very well to the
pressure. Lucknow had 'a.5 - 1 lead at one
point in the. game. Scoring was by Wayne
Nivens, two goals, Harvey Kikkert; Kent
Campbell, Kevin De Jong and assists went
to Dave. • MacDougall, Kevin De Jong.
Lucknow travels to Howick this Friday
providing the weather cooperates.
Debbie Rantoul; daughter of Leroy and Lila
Rlntoul of. St, Helens, won the champion-
ship an the market livestock Charolais class
at the Royal Winter Fair In Toronto. ,The
area ,resident was successful showing a
steer that had won several local competi-
tions. Debbie was also the top prize winner
at the Huron County 4-H Awards Night In
Clinton.
