The two narrators to the left are Julie Kraemer and Jeff Porter and the line of snowflakes consists of Sonia Jones, Karissa Dickie, BarbaraKnorr, Stephanie Sapnswick, Shelley Johnston and Angle Ward. • [James Friel photo] Meeting is full*of music • Thirty-one ladies sat down to a delicious turkey dinner served by the Anglican • Ladies in their parish hall .at St. Peter's Anglican Church Dec. 10. Mrs. Wesley Ritchie played Christmas music on the piano while the ladies gathered. Ruth Bogues, president, wel-. comedall. Mrs. Grace igampbell thanked • the caterers for such a delicious dinner and Mr. Cooper replied. Jean Whitby read the minutes and gave • the report of the bazaar sales and pudding sales. Tillie Wilson conducted some con- tests and gave a Christmas _reading. Edna Young chaired the meeting for the program. Christmas carols' were ,sung and Dorothy Brown gave the motto: •"Christ - Inas is a time for open house, open hand and' open heart". The songbirds - Noma Campbell, Grace.Gibson, Elizabeth Robin- son and Mary MacGillivray - sang a couple Of numbers and all joined in on "I wish you a Merry Christmas". Grace Campbell gave an. interesting • reading and conducted a 'contest. • Mrs. • Penny was the winner. Santa Claus arrived and seemed to be in a poetic mood and read a poem on old age. He was in a jolly / mood and resembled Elizabeth Robinson. He presented a gift to each lady. Grade 6 and Grade 3 have started a buddy reading program. Kindergarten 1 are making paper chains to decorate their room.. This 'has been "concert week" for the Room 4 Alphabet. The class has been busy practising, "The Day the Transformers Came to Brookside", with Nancy Camer- on's Kindergarten 1 class. Jane de Boer is our "Special Me", this week. Mr. Liddle's Grade 6 class met their Grade 3 peer partners for the first time this week.
