The/ December meeting will be one week earlier this year and will be in the form of a .pre -Christmas pot luck dinner and gift exchange. The rollcall was a Bible verse with the. word "Thanks". Besides the usual offer- ing, a special offering was taken for their foster child. Devotions were taken by Mrs. Bruce Bushell w'ho read the poems "Pink Glass" and 'One Hour that Fills My Day", and read a story about a child. Mrs. Ralph Thompson had the study time on "Home Making, begin with Bible reading and ,prayer. She passed out slips of paper asking each member to write down what members don't enjoy doing daily as a /homemaker and a discussion followed. She spoke on short term goals and ended with "A Kitchen Prayer". An insulation installer, he was born in Goderich on September 9, 1908, a son of the late Richard Oke and Kate MacAdam. He is survived by his wife, the former Blanch Dunn, a sister, Helen, Mrs. George Hadden and a brother, Robert Oke of Goderich. • He was predeceased by three sisters, Marion, Mrs. William Bell, Adelle, .
