meeting with the poem "Gifts from God",
followed by the hymn "His Name is
Wonderful". All present repeated the pur-
pose. Mrs, William MacPherson read the
minutes.
Final plans were made for Mr. and Mrs.
Tom McDonald's open house tea at the
church and for the .cheerio boxes to be
made up. The/ December meeting will be
one week earlier this year and will be in the
form of a .pre -Christmas pot luck dinner
and gift exchange.
The rollcall was a Bible verse with the.
word "Thanks". Besides the usual offer-
ing, a special offering was taken for their
foster child.
Devotions were taken by Mrs. Bruce
Bushell w'ho read the poems "Pink Glass"
and 'One Hour that Fills My Day", and
read a story about a child. Mrs. Ralph
Thompson had the study time on "Home
Making, begin with Bible reading and
,prayer. She passed out slips of paper
asking each member to write down what
members don't enjoy doing daily as a
/homemaker and a discussion followed. She
spoke on short term goals and ended with
"A Kitchen Prayer".
Election of officers for 1986 proceeded
and new officers are: president, Mrs. Don
Bashell; vice president, Mrs. Bert Thomp-
son; secretary, Mrs. Tom McDonald;
assistant, Mrs. Don Reid; treasurer, Mrs.
Don Robertson; assistant, Mrs. Don Reid;
pianist, Mrs. Bruce Bushell; assistant,
Mrs. William MacPherson; S.S. secretar-
ies Mrs. Ralph Thompson and Mrs. Bruce
Bushell; literature and library, Mrs. Alex
Percy; Glad Tidings secretary, Mrs. Don
McEwan; press reporter, Mrs. GlenHald-
enby; friendship secretaries, Mrs. John

The neighbours of the 4th concession of
Kinloss held a moving away party in
honour of Doris, Fraser and Murray
MacKinnon. The party was held at the
MacKinnon's new home in Lucknow. After
an enjoyable evening, lunch was served,
and theywere presented with some lovely
gifts and an address was read.'

Russell Oke
Russell Oke of Toronto died at Toronto
East General Hospital on- Tuesday,
November 26, 1985 at the age of 77 years.
An insulation installer, he was born in
Goderich on September 9, 1908, a son of the
late Richard Oke and Kate MacAdam.
He is survived by his wife, the former
Blanch Dunn, a sister, Helen, Mrs. George
Hadden and a brother, Robert Oke of
Goderich.

He was predeceased by three sisters,
Marion, Mrs. William Bell, Adelle, . Mrs
Thomas Horton. and Mildred, Mrs. Daniel
Riehl.
