John T. McMurc177, died in Kincardine
Hospital Oct. 31,1985 in his 93rd year after
residing at Princess Court, Kincardine for
the last seven years.
He was born in iuron Township Oct. 28,
1893, the son of the late Duncan and
Margaret McMurchy.
He is predeceased by two sisters Betsy

• Tim Lucknow Pee Wees travelled to
Kincardine for their first game of the
season Nov. 2. It was 'a close game with
Lucknow winning 6 - 5. Scoring for the
Lucknow team were Brad Murray with four
goals and One goal each, for Rod Crich and
Donnie Gammie. It was a good way to start
the season.
In their 'first home game of the season
played Friday night Lucknow again came
Huston and Mary McMurchy. He is
survived by two nieces, one nephew, Mrs.
Ina Farrell, Kincardine; Eileen (Mrs.Dave
Rife) Preston; Glenn Huston, Ripley; nine
•great nieces and nephews and five great
great nieces.
He was a member of Ripley United
Church. Funeral service was held at the
MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home
with Rev. Clarence McClenaghan

Pallbearers were Harry Scott, Lester
Ferguson, Doug Liddle, Cameron MacAul-
ey, Larry Farrell, Brian Huston. Interment
Ripley Cemetery.

15 at 7 p.m. against last year's Ontario
Champs, Teeswater.

"Basic Baking" is the name of the 4;H
project that members have been working
on this fall. They've acquired, the basic
skills of baking cakes, pies and tea biscuits
as well as judging them.
They are having their achievement pro-
grams where they will be doing quizzes,
juding and getting to know other 4 -Hers
really well.
The public is welcome to attend and join
in as well at Brookside Public School Nov.
19. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m.
and wiW certainly follow the 4-H motto
"Learn to Do by Doing."

Couple wed in Ripley
Courtney - MacTavish
Cameron Courtney, son of Mr. and Mrs,
•Leonard Courtney. of Ripley, and Elaine
MacTavish, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Allan MacTavish of Ripley, were united in
marriage on Oct. 5, 1985. Rev. MacPher-
son of the Ripley United Church officiated
in the double ring ceremony. The maid of
honor was Mary MacNay, friend of the
bride and bridesmaid was Michele Mac-
Tavish, cousin of the bride. Sandy Liddle,
friend of the groom, was best man and •
Danny Irwin, friend of the groom was
usher. Organist for the service was Gerry
McLeod and vocalist was Debbie Lowry. A
reception followed at the Ripley Huron
Complex.. The couple is now residing in
Amberley.
