• The- sixth meeting of the Whitechurch
Silly Sewers was held on Occ. 30 after
school at the home of Mrs. Wardrop... The
meeting opened with the pledge. , Six
members answered the rollcall. Minutes
were read by Alison Wardrop. Mrs. Elliott
talked - about putting in elastic. Mrs.
Wardrop gave members a memory test
game. Cathy. and Karen had perfect. The
meeting closed with the Creed.
The seventh meeting of Whitechurch
Silly Sewers was held Nov. 9 at 9-a.m. at
Mrs. Elliott's home. The meeting opened.
with' six members repeating the pledge and
answering the rollcall. The minutes were -
read by Cathy Dow. There is to be a
rehearsal for the fashion show at the
achievement program: Mrs. Elliott demon-
strated how to do different kinds of side
seams and neck and armhole edges. Mrs.
Wardrop talked 'about the question of
making or buying clothes. The book covers
were made. The leaders checked the books'
and covers. Books and garment are to be
handed in on Not+. 16. The meeting closed
with the Creed:

and family of Wingham, who moved last
week into the house formerly owned by Mr.
and Mrs. Murray Irwin and family:

pathy to Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson of
Wingham on the passing of their son,
James Mackenzie Wilson at Montreal
General Hospital and to his sisters Judy,
Margaret, Brenda and Karenand to his
aunt, Miss Merle Wilson of Wingham.
After the funeral service in Montreal on
Nov. 12 cremation followed withinterment
in Wingham Cemetery.
Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Ed
McQuillin in the passing of her husband Ed
and to their son Grant McQuillin of
Lucknow and to his brotier Evan McQuillin
of Lucknow.
Miss Karen. Beecroft of Kitchener and
Kevin Beecroft spent theweekend with
Mr. and ,Mrs. E. W. Beecroft.

neighbouring community erected a barn
which .:burned on the farm of John A.
Currie. They feel the portion of barn built
will fit their needs.

Currie of Downsview spent the weekend
with Mr: and Mrs. John A. Currie. '
On Nov. 11 Kim Laidlaw, Alison Ward-
rop, Tim Falconer and Mark Schnelier
were at the Remembrance Day service to
play in the "school band which was in the
parade to the cenotaph in Lucknow. •
Mr. and Mrs: Alan Falconer spent
Monday in Owen Sound. .. "
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Irwin, Cody and
Chanse of Lucknow visited Sunday evening
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Milligan.
Mrs. Dave Oberholtzer of Waterloo and,
Mrs. Harry Gutoskieofitchener visited
with their mother, Mrs; Norma Rintoul en
Wednesday.
On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Robinson, Mark, Tracy and Tim of '
Belgrave visited with her mother, Mrs.

28 at Ripley at 7 p.m.
Raymond Des Roches and Joe Blackport
of London joined in the deer hunt in Bruce,
County last week and were guests of/Mr.
and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan.
UCW meeting
The November meeting of the UCW was
held Nov. 6 at the home of Miss Mildred.
McClenaghan. Mrs. Chapman read the
minutes.
Pauline, Adams gave the call to worship
and the hymns "0 Master let me, walk with.
Thee" and "Lord speak to me that 1 may
speak" were sung:. Mrs. Adams, gave the
story of the Good Samaritan. All sang
"Where cross the crowded ways of life".
Mrs. Ball gave a very interesting and
informative study from' the stewardship
book .' `How and where our mission and
service fund is used".' Mrs. Agnes Farrier.
thanked the hostess. Mrs. Ball closed, the
meeting with. prayer.
